Here is a list of benefits from before when I signed up.

It means they will negotiate bulk renewals above and beyond what is available to regular players. For example, if you want to renew 1000 domains, they will give you an additional discount. In some cases it depends on the mood of Parsons.
He plays an active role when it comes to the high rollers.
VIP at godaddy is nice to have. I guess just the VIP status is cool. I do have a personal account rep her name is Kimberly Darwin and she is very nice and always goes above and beyond.
To become VIP you must spend more than 5k a month in domains and services.
I enjoy the VIP but really it is not something to go after. Just let it happen.
As you bumped my old thread, I'll post my experience with vip status.
You can get some discounts, but you can still get better prices with promo codes, so it really doesnt matter much. Good thing is, you get personal representative who is really helpful and can renew, transfer etc. domains at your behalf. For example, I needed 10 domains transfered to my godaddy acc. I just sent list of domains to my rep, with promo code I choose and EPP codes, and domains were there in 10 minutes. It saves some time
