Hi,
Recently I think someone was trying to hack into my GoDaddy account. Out of nowhere I recevied an email from GoDaddy (as it appeared) stating it was the email to recover my password (the link inside definitiley went to GoDaddy's site, so it seemed to be the legit email from GoDaddy when you request to recover/change your password.
Anyway, this alarmed me so I signed in directly to the GoDaddy site (I avoid clicking links within emails - instead I go to the actual site). When checking my security settings, I noticed they added a Two-Step Authentication option.
Basically, when you sign in with your User/Password, they send you an SMS Text Message with a security code to continue the login process. I have been trying it out for a couple of days and am happy to report so far it's been great -- the delay for the text to come to my phone has been less than 10 seconds -- mostly within 5 seconds (I have logged in 10 different times the last couple of days with this feature turned on).
Kudos GoDaddy -- I like the extra protection!
