GoDaddy Phone Support Recording... pretty ridiculous!

Hey all,

Found this, it might be old news, you probably have heard it before, but here's the recording:

Woops, 2 convos (second one is much less brutal, but this second one is definately the caller's problem... not GoDaddy's)

The site regards to www.NectarTech.com, a datacenter that was "suspended" by GoDaddy; the domain was offline.

Listen to both of them - after the end of the second one you'll notice that the caller is really the root of the problem As weblord stated.

Sounds like the caller is on the verge of tears or just has a changing voice but uh... darn that stinks :p

Isn't that just brutal to listen to? I have decided to move all my hosted domains away from GD after listening to that.

godaddy as a registrar is ok and cheap but people behind are not, godaddy as hosting much worst.

First time I have heard the audio. It is sad.
Perhaps this issue would have be resolved if he would have followed the email from abuse ?

My experiences with godaddy has been good. But this audio is really rude if it were true. Rude is just rude, no matter who's fault it is.

BTW, is it legal to record a conversation without the customer service center's permission? (He did ask whether the recorded conversation is OK, but was not give a clear permission).

I thought the caller was rude and bullish.

It is legal in some states to record someone without their permission. In TX only one person (obviously the one recording) needs to know there is a recording. In CA, I believe both parties need to be aware. It probably depends on the state.

I'd not blame GD for this one.

I heard this about a week ago and whilst i spathise with the guy, if he had followed the email from abuse he could have got it sorted much faster, constant badgering on reapeating your self gets very annoying :P.

But thats what you get for using godaddy...lol
