Being a very loyal customer for close to 10 years, and they still don't take you seriously!!!!!!!

Here is the story,and i feel i'd better let off some steam and share with you guys:
1. i participated in one of their expired domain auctions, and i was the second highest bidder
2. the highest bidder didn't pay
3. they sent me an email confirming that i was the second highest bidder and i had 24 hours to pay for it
4. 3 hours after their email, i logged in to my account to pay with a smile on my face
5. the listing of my winning auction in the WON section was gone!!!!!!!!!!
6. 10 some phone calls later, one of the support staff in the premier service department told me that basically the winning email was sent out to me too late and i actually had only one hour to pay from the time that i received the email
7. i asked that if i could still get it since it's their system's fault,and i was told that the answer is pretty much NO
8. I subscribed to their auction service and i paid my annual fee,though it's not much, i have paid!!!!!
I bidded the auction with not just money but also time and in the end i got nothing

have you had similar experiences? what should i do and what can i do?

who got the domain? if no one did, I would fire a godaddy backorder at it.

to be honest, i'd rather pay for it now to be certain.
but thanks for your advice

i just feel appalled that they wouldn't correct their mistakes and just give you the attitude of 'bad luck buddy, next time'
