GoDaddy Executive Account

Hi,

I just got a mail from godaddy that they are offering me executive account to me. No extra charges. I tried to google whats it about, i cant find much info.

I am sure, there must be many experienced domainers here who have an similar account. I just want to know, what extra benifts we will get. Is it worthy? Any information is highly useful. Thank you guys

Is that really true about other extensions being 10-15% cheaper? I have an account with Executive Accounts and have only received the discount for .com domains.

you can get 10 % anytime without an exec. account with the code "saveten"

One weird thing though. All registrations/renewals have to go through your account rep, manually. .

Hmm, I like Godaddy and over all rate them high on the chart. I like to reg my hand regs online though due to a bad experience registering over the phone.

I forget why but I called in to reg some names over the phone and one of the names were mis-spelled by the rep on the other end. By the time I had cought the mistake the correct spelling was taken.

I've been gun shy registering by phone since that one. ALWAYS ask them to repeat the spelling back to you before proceeding to the next name. They won't mind at all

stub - there is a coupon that my executive account manager has given me ... I can reg/renew/transfer anything manually , enter the coupon , pay the full price and then get a FULL refund of the difference between the regular and executive pricing ...





Dave - I agree, it is rather logical for any company to kind of "pamper" the big-spenders so they continue buying from them or raise their expenditure even more because of the good service ...





Peter - gTLDS regs/rens/transfers are $6.95 (ICANN included) ... the other TLDs have varying lower pricing , eg. $34.99s usually cost $29.99 , etc ... in some occasions you can use coupons to get similar or lower pricing but if you tell them about it they can match it or even do you a better deal (if it is possible)





drago - see paragraph right above ... also the executive pricing also applies to renewals always while on some occasions a coupon is for new regs only ...





VURG - I agree ... I have gone through quite some details and preferences with my exec manager ... eg. payment method (when CC when PayPal) , renewal durations , PayPal refunds issued within 24 hours so that I get the same currency exchange rate as my purchase (when I use a coupon) , etc ... that the operation is streamlined right now ... just by a simple email with the names copypasted (or by entering a coupon code in an order) , I can reg/renew any domain cheaply in minutes ... plus after so many emails we talk friendlily doing jokes and stuff ...





DNP - personally , I prefer to hand reg my hand-regs ... I like the "hey , I just regged this gem" feeling when I see the final order page lol ...

Price increase was just confirmed for us yesterday.

!!! IMPORTANT !!! *** VeriSign and ICANN are increasing the registry fees for domain names. The increase will happen on October 14th. (.COM - $0.43)(.NET $0.36)(.ORG - $0.15)(.INFO - $0.15)(.BIZ - $1.15) Ask me about renewing early to avoid this price increase.

I am considering the same option ... I am thinking about buying the Discount Club Membership with the executive account pricing ($69.99) ... it is the most profitable for 270+ domains ... that's why I mentioned it in a previous post ... of course I will keep my executive account manager regardless of buying the membership or not ...


also , I received an email from GoDaddy that the hikes are as follows ...


TLD ----- Raise ----- Effective
.com ----- 0.43 ----- 14/10/07
.net ----- 0.36 ----- 14/10/07
.info ----- 0.15 ----- 14/10/07
.org ----- 0.15 ----- 17/10/07
.biz ----- 1.15 ----- 18/10/07


but I think this is the raises in general ... coupon , executive and discountclub prices might be affected slightly differently (or not lol) ... but they did mention that GoDaddy does not try to profit from the hikes ...


anyways , I think I will wait for the hikes (which are rather close now) to be on-site , before I decide about buying a Discount Club Membership ... even though the respective price differences should remain basically the same (or very similar) between regular , coupon , exec and discountclub ...






stub - from the wording I guess that's from your exec ? or a reseller ? check your GoDaddy email there should be an email about the hikes ...
