He goes on to say that there are discounts for other Godaddy services----I am checking on tdnam discounts now.

I have one small gripe with an otherwise excellent service:

Why is it that when I just want to buy a cheapo domain name and try and check out I am offered a million and one other things to buy?

Ya, I don't like that either. I just want to reg my Domain, pay, and that's it. I don't want to keep clicking on no I don't want this, and no I don't want that, continue to check out. But, I can see the marketing behind this for their services, I just wish they didn't do it at check out.

and click "quick checkout"?
I missed it the first few times, it's near the bottom of the page

I'm not quite clear on the question here, but an unverified account does work, as long as there is a credit card or debit card linked into that paypal account.

I have an unverified paypal, but through godaddy I have my debit/credit card linked...it works instantly like paypal, and payment for domains are immediate to Godaddy. from my bank, not my credit card.
One big benefit for me, if there is no money in Paypal, it's an automatic transfer from bank account so you get the domain right away but it takes a day or so to actually hit my bank account, so I have time to go to the bank if need be, but overdraft helps :hehe:
