Correct, it's for .COM, plus $0.18 fee then it's total $9.17.

Check your cart again if it had any other service? or try to remove the name and register again from the beginning.

I have no idea why GoDaddy add tax for your order. Mine only had $0.18 ICANN fee.

Have you ever registered any service here? Did they charge you tax? If not, I think you should contact with support via livechat right now!

I dont know, never had such a problem before, they started to charging tax maybe two months ago...

EDIT: They dont know why I need to pay tax, they tell me I need to contact billing department.
