Hello CD, no on the second one, what happened was I purchased the first closeout during the day and I just kept checking here and nothing worked, the last auction names I won cjc35newc had worked but not this time. So I paid $23.17 for the .com. It was then hours later like 5 am my time that I was looking at a .net and I saw the $16.99 for the .net and I was like no way, so I did a Google search instead of searching here, found Fat Wallet code and used it. That code worked.

The guidelines for this thread are in place so as to keep posts useful. As long as they are generally useful and on-topic, they're fine. Times change; good codes are harder to come by. If you dislike it, please start another thread. Don't rant in this one.

The alternative was that I delete it and issue you a warning, like I routinely do for all of the similar posts that you report. I figured you wouldn't like that very much. That dislike was my way of warning you that you're crossing a line, and you should probably take some time to cool off. I know you don't like this topic, but it will pass.

I do see your point: we shouldn't be driving people away from NamePros. However, recommending sources of information falls within the realm of constructive contribution. It's worth revisiting the topic of affiliate codes and alternative means of gathering codes when we're running out of options. Yes, it's a delicate area because it's long been established as taboo. Given the right context, though, a post or two on the matter can be relevant.

If anyone is interested in continuing discussion of new ways to find codes, we should probably start a separate thread for the matter, as @mis_chiff recommended. A single post with new information doesn't detract from the usefulness of this thread, but a lengthy discussion would be out-of-place here.

It's not about the people, it's about the posts. and all but 1% of my reports are removed or edited
- the exception on the 1% is how far a post can be twisted to fit.

I can respect that.

I agree it was just a question--I have over 400 names-with near 100 coming due right now--Some are almost the same--IE-Singular and plural-same name--(xxcar-xxcars etc).
I was looking for someone saying "great idea".

However i will do it with some of them-and take that chance.

AND TO 10-10-i did join the discount club in late July.I just have to many names.I have had only 1 decent bite on a name in last 5 months and it was a dotUS. So time to let some out.

Your godaddy rep should be able to get you around $9 renewals with just a phone call
especially if you have multiple. I sure wish they had a code for this, for anyone with over 100 domains.
