So about a month back I was convinced that GD DDC was the best way to go as the coupons began drying up. Before I made the purchase, I inquired on here as to whether the coupons would still work once I made the purchase, and at least 2 people reassured me the coupons would still work... well, they don't, I do not think I have been able to apply a coupon since my ddc purchase. Is anyone else not able to use codes since joining DDC?
I even created a brand new account and they still do not work, although when I set it up I clicked new account for current user, I did not create a new account for my GF for example. If I create an account for her will she be able to use the above codes?

Imagine the coupons still work even in the DDC as long as you haven't used them before. I have been registering some new names and I used some codes found here so I can confirm that being part of the DDC doesn't preclude using coupons.

As for the other question I can't answer but if it was me I think I would open a totally different account.

@imagineimagery - If you are in the US, you are doing something wrong or your browser settings are messing you up.

I have had DDC for 3+ years and the coupons have always worked, and continue too work (as of 1 minute ago anyway).

You will get the lower of the coupon price or the DDC price, whichever is lowest. If the coupon codes are not being accepted, then you need to use one of the techniques discussed on my blog, other godaddy coupon blogs, or elsewhere in this forum.

@imagineimagery - I missed the other part of the question about the new account. If you use the same computer/browser to create the new account, the second time you use the coupon it may or may not work. Sometimes it may take the coupon and when you go to pay you may get an error processing the order even though the payment method is good. In that case you need to call godaddy and have them manually process the order for you.

I was trying to renew my one .com domain, and only working codes for discount are these:
SAS10ORDER which gave me 10% off of my .com renewal
GO20OFF which gave me 20% off of my .com renewal

Other discount codes that I tried - 30%, 32% - did not work.

yup, gtnicau177 works in canada too - but clicking that link changes my godaddy settings to AU -

Any working coupons for renewals out there? Everything is coming up invalid for me.

GD used to regularly send me 20% or better on expiring domains. Haven't seen one of those in some time, now. :td:
