Doesn't work anymore.

In fact I have tried all the known Renewal codes and nothing works.
So that means if there is no more $8.49 renewal codes and if GD is about to raise the prices on renewal codes then its off to Namesilo for me.
Transfers are $8.39 with a year added.

There is no way I am paying more then $8.49 for a renewal when there are other companies out there.

Godaddy is garbage now. No renewal coupons, overprice club crap for people who don't own 100+ domains, constantly changing the layout and navigation. Not to mention they like to spam call my phone to upsell me and make it sound like something bad happened to my account. Tried contacting them and haven't heard anything for hours. Ridiculous. ByeBye Godaddy.

I agree.
Godaddy sucks you in with cheap registrations and then slap you in the face when it comes time to renewal. And yes, they really need to quit changing their site layouts so often.

It appears any poster need only look to the top of this very page for the best .com renewal code currently being offered by GoDaddy. Reps to Turist for posting. That aside, I too searched the net and even sifted through my old lists. As with others, the only codes I found to offer any discount were the % codes, but the discount was minimal, at best.

I'm sure that min "regular" .com renewal $8.67 was just increased to $9.99. Some one time renewal codes will still working per account but only once now.

Please look at the header on GoDaddy page when you try to use cheap 2 bucks codes.
It's now "SPECIAL OFFER! .COM just $1.99*! Additional .COMs just $$9.99 per year! " when before there was stated "Additional .COMs just $8.67 per year!".
I assume it's the same plus $1.32 for each renewal as well.

Why?
Did we have any collisions (aka financial or any other organization problems) between Godaddy and Verisign with result in new GoDaddy renewal politics?

This renewal thing with GoDaddy might be temporary, new coupons might be coming, or....... you can just join the Club, I pay less than $8.50 for renewals, they usually have coupons for cheap new regs and also cheap coupons for transfers. So overall, I'm happy with them. Do the math and see if it makes sense to you joining the Discount Club.

Us? If you don't like GoDaddy, leave. You don't need to join a group to do this or coordinate anything. You mentioned Dynadot. If I had 10 .com to renew there today, give me a real number, how much would it cost me?

Still not lower than GD Discount club on renewals (for me at least). It's 40 cents more per renewal for 500+ domains. $8.29 at GD vs. $8.69 at NameSilo. That's $200 more on 500 domains. GD discount club is way cheaper than $200, I think $90, plus I don't remember if I used a coupon to get that even lower. Plus, I've been getting $2 and $3 transfers in all day long.

Most domainers dont have 500 domains so for them its not worth it.

Even if you had half of that, it still would be cheaper at GD. So you would have to have not that many domains for it to be actually cheaper. And then if it was actually cheaper, probably by not much. Then the prices go up if you have less than 500 to $8.79 for 100+ and $8.89 for less than $100. Like I said, you have to do the math, it'll be different for everybody. Was checking out the other registrar mentioned, Dynadot's coupon thread here. It's been going on for almost 2 years, it's only 4 pages long vs this 652 page thread. Do they ever have times when you can transfer in 10 domains for like $2 or $3 like GD? That alone saves me hundreds a year.

None of of the codes listed above worked, why? Because i have used them in the past, i do change my mind about domains sometimes and i am grateful to get all those discount codes for when i make a bad choice and decide not to renew. On the whole go daddy have been the cheapest overall for me in the past. I am not jumping ship just yet. Just look at all the brandables being regged lately, how many will be renewed that were purchased using a godaddy discount code …… i am guessing not all of them, so in other words the chance for a 'cheap bet' was offered …….thanks godaddy

I guess, unless it's a push, you have that 60 day deal. What you bolded is a completely different topic tho, dealing with privacy. Never used that in my life, with sites or domains. I would consider it if I made a site on some hot topic where there might be some nuts out there wanting to burn my house down or something, politics, religion, outing crooks etc.

I bolded it because it was the sentence that made me think of not being able to sell a domain because its essentially locked for 60 days when going from A to B.

I dont know. All in all its not a good thing what they did, increasing the renewal prices. Its going to send a lot of domain owners elsewhere unless they post a new code.

All of the codes I have tried that were 8.67 are now $10.81/yr + FEE = $10.99 I cant afford that at all. If I my financial situation were better I'd be hard pressed to justify that too. Thats a 27% increase for me.

Right now I am looking for where to move them. All things being equal (read: if Go Daddy and others are now the same price), then there really is no [more] incentive for me to stick around.
