whats going on with these codes...you can't use paypal with them anymore?? by which i mean weasel412 and zine10.

I know the Limited Codes (ones with a set maximum registrations ie: 10,000) could never be used with PayPal.

But the ones without set registrations like $7.49 codes usually you can use PayPal.
Unless they changed it.

The "Special" codes do not allow paypal or Giftcards
You can report it or send a complaint but they state it in the Terms for these "Special" codes.

I'm not familiar with the gift cards, but if they can be purchased using Paypal, then I can see GoDaddy excluding this means of payment as well.

It boils down to saving those extra few cents in transaction charges with some of the deeper discount promos. With the volume that GoDaddy does, it can add up.

i tried a few different things, it would let me renew domains using that code with paypal but i could not purchase new domains using paypal with those codes..pretty strange.

That's strange because I just tried right now and it's working with PayPal... I wonder why it's not working at your end...

could be because the paypal account is not backed by a credit card.
Had the same problem few years ago. I had 2K in my paypal account, but didn't mention any credit card in my paypal account. Didn't worked with GD. Sent an email to Godaddy and asked them they should accept that (without creditcard) and they did. You could do the same
