Just a few posts up you will find a 28% Off code posted by the-poet (gdz523a). Further up the page you will also find a 27% Off code
(gdz428by) and a 25% Off code (gdbbc1026). These bulk codes are your best bet, with poet's 28% code currently the highest discount.

Guys, there isn't a particular code for transfers of TLD1 or renewals of TLD2, just use a coupon that is described as working for all orders, like this.

Damn, I just tried almost all codes from the last 5 pages, but was unable to find any working for a new .org (yesterday bought one with gdbb776 without a problem). I bought it with dynadot for $8 finally

GD coupon codes for total orders don't work for products that are already discounted: if you register/renew/transfer more than 5 domains at once (or one domain for more than 5 years), your order is automatically discounted, so codes won't work. As for .org (and some other extensions), GoDaddy is doing a promotion: new .ORGs are 14.99, but GD is currently selling them for $9.99, that's why no code has worked in your case.

However, gdbb776 is great for a $7.49 .ORG Renewal

GD coupon codes for total orders don't work for products that are already discounted: if you register/renew/transfer more than 5 domains at once (or one domain for more than 5 years), your order is automatically discounted, so codes won't work. As for .org (and some other extensions), GoDaddy is doing a promotion: new .ORGs are 14.99, but GD is currently selling them for $9.99, that's why no code has worked in your case.

Codes work fine as long as they provide a higher discount than any active promotion currently running.

An example is cwm7, which discounts org/net/biz New Regs from the current promo price you mention $9.99, to a lower $7.49 price. However, bulk Regs/Renewals/Transfers gain bulk pricing, which is higher than most codes, thus, rendering the codes inactive for that particular purchase.

That aside, matthep didn't mention anything of bulk issues, but rather a Single Name New Reg in the .ORG extension. In this case, the codes posted at the top of this page would be his best bet and cheapest price. Hope this helps.

Exactly, matthep just wanted to register one .ORG and, in his case, the code didn't work because .ORGs, like other extensions, are currently on promotion without any code, unless you have a specific code for the TLD (just like those codes that take .COs, already on promotion at $11.99, down to $10.99 or, in the past, to $7.49).
