Funnily enough they sent me both the $6.99 and $7.99 coupons - and like you I wasn't even going to mention the more expensive one.

Interestingly, the $6.99 was sent to the email address associated with my .mobi account - perhaps because I've left countless domains of other extensions expire there over the years, not least more LLLL .coms than I care to remember.

Now that I've proven to them money is an object, they seem to spare me the insult of the 20% discount offers.

Do I really need to let many .TV expire and get deleted to receive a decent renewal price coupon from GD? What's with the $30+ renewal prices? Already transferred some away, let's see if that helps.

Same with .mobi. CJCBENTLD still works, but the other code you mentioned and its equivalent that I mentioned earlier in this thread have both expired and need to be replaced. I'm prepared to wait until April (when my first mobis expire) to renew at a decent price, but GD can't sell people a service at $7.99 for one year and expect them to be happy to pay $14.99 for the same service next year. In theory it may work, but in practice it doesn't. Hope Adam would give them the domainer's perspective sooner rather than later.

Patrick, I think you're missing the point.

When you buy a domain close to expiry GoDaddy's internal 60 days from date of push into your account kicks in.

Thats why the domains can't be transferred in this case.
