WHOA! Thank you very much DomainPump for taking time to figure that out, very very good information. Thank you, rep added.

No problem! Dont forget "Deet" either - it was because of "deet" that posted the $20 coupon that I was able to get that price! This is a great thread!

Works on transfers or combo renew/reg/transfer
BTW might as well get 16 domains instead of 15 ...only $1.99 more

thanks

Using the $20 of $75 coupon (GDH0103PLC), I was able to purchase 15 dot-com domains and 16 Dedicated-IP renewals for an average cost of $4.05 per domain

I am not sure on the renewal or transfers but should work based on it working in the past, however please verify yes or no on renewals / transfers.

The part that sucks to begin with is that the dedicated IP has to be started out for 2 months,@$2.99,+$1.99 for the domain...thus raising your price back up to $7.97-10%=$7.17;not much of a deal. I suppose if you already had 40 or 50 hosting credits(dIP) laying around, the discount would be helpful.
For traffic domains/renewals, all these dedicated IP deals are useless.
Anyone know of any good discounts on TRANSFERS,RENEWALS or NEW REGs (((((WITHOUT hosting))))))???

You can renew the same one over and over again...

Thats why I had asked why anyone would want to remove these once they purchased them. Even though they're basically useless (you cant transfer them / sell them / trade them in / etc), they can be renewed out to who knows when. I've got a 1/2 dozen of them which I make sure that I am renewing equally.

The 2 month minimum was GoDaddy's response (most likely) to the loophole. When it was one-month it was awesome, but so what - the first one costs $7-something and the remainder, depending on which loophole technique you employ (from the first post), could be as low as $4.04 per domain. Thats not bad when you realize that MANY people are still paying 8.95+.25=9.20 per domain because they dont even know about these loopholes OR they dont want to try them. Or, like a friend of mine did today - registered using Network Solutions for $35 or something crazy like that! In any case, until they create another loophole that works with some other product of theirs, the Dedicated IP seems to be the best bang for the buck when buying in bulk. We just have to watch carefully.

One thing I have noticed is that these coupons dont seem to be including the ICANN fee anymore. So when you add up the cost of all those $1.99 dot-com domains (for example), the coupon is only going to look at the 1.99 part and not the entire $2.24 for the dot-com. This just seemed to happen recently - in the past day or so. It threw off all my calculations. Thats why it takes 16 dedicated IP renewals and only 15 domains using the 20 of 75 code. You're actually spending $80 to trigger the coupon it seems.

The coupon is only looking at
dedicated ip renewal $2.95 x 16 = $47.20
dot-com domains $1.99 x 15 = $29.85

which totals to $77.05. It completely ignores the ICANN fees now. I *think* thats a change from what it used to work like.

If so, it looks like they're tightening up even more.

4.05 Bulk Domains
price qty cost
dedicated ip renewal $2.95 x 16 = $47.20
dot-com domains $1.99 x 15 = $29.85
icann fee $0.25 x 15 = $3.75
$80.80 SUB TOTAL-$20 off $75 GDH0103PLC coupon
$60.80 TOTAL COST

$60.80 / 15 domains = $4.05 COST PER DOMAIN

... am trying this out from scratch (without a deicated ip to renew)

After adding the 2 x $2.95 dedicated hosting ip to the cart and adding the 1 .com domain at $2.24 (totalling $8.14) .... how do i "add" 16 dedicated ip renewals, in order to add the subsequent 15 .coms (as stated above)

Thanks for any feedback, this is amazing if it works.

Hey

First you need to have one Dedicated IP registered, then you need to renew it 16 times. So basically go to my account click on hosting renewals and renew dedicated ip for a month 16 times. After this you can add the 15.coms
(i believe)

Ive just registered one dedicated ip for 2 months and also added 1 .com for a net price of $7.55 with saveten.

The $20 off $75 code doesnt seem to work, but the $5 off $30 still does, so for 7 dedicated IP renewals and 7 .com domains, it comes out to $4.48 / name. Hope this helps someone, ive spent the last 5 hrs at this

Most coupons still work, the were just tweaked by Godaddy - recently it would seem.

I registered/renewed several hours ago and the 20 off 75 still worked using the 16-IP/15-DOMAIN method. You have to be aware that it seems like the coupons have been recoded to only look at the $1.99 charge + the non-domain charge and they seem to exclude the fees. So it takes more domain purchases to meet the coupon now.

Next time I have registrations/renewals I will confirm/deny the 20-off-75 coupon working. For $60.80 you get 15 domains (new and/or renewals). For $4.05, its certainly worth renewing domains you KNOW you're gonna keep!

Cheers!

Here's to hoping that GoDaddy runs some sort of during-superbowl-only special! I believe they had specials last year, during the game only. We shall see!!

That must be why. Thx for clarifying.

Btw, does this work for domains that are transfered/renewed into GD from other registrars?

Need step by step detailed instructions on how to transfer in 21 names to GD at the lowest total cost. Please PM the details and upon completion I will donate all my NP$ to the person with the lowest cost total.

Assuming that domain transfers are nothing more than domain products in a shopping cart, then one or the other of the following should work: If you dont like what you see in the cart - you can always empty the cart and if you have to, clear your cookies for GoDaddy so everything resets....

Here we go:

If you have at least one dedicated IP product in your account then I would use the $20 off $75 coupon with a Bulk Transfer of your 21 names PLUS add 21 dedicated IP RENEWALS. It is important that you know that they have to be dedicated ip renewals on top of the existing dedicated IP product. If you use this method, you'll spend:
$2.95x21=$61.95 (21 dedicated IP renewals)
+$1.99x21=$47.04 (21 domain transfers)
$108.99 SUB TOTAL
$(20.00) $20 off $80 CODE=GDH0103PLC
$88.99 TOTAL COST
$4.24 COST PER DOMAIN

-OR-

If you do not have at least one Dedicated IP, then go to the very first post and follow the instructions on how to transfer ONE domain and add ONE, 2-month Dedicated IP product. That SHOULD cost you $7.55 total. THEN, for the next 20 transfers you will follow, from above, but only for 20 dedicated IP renewals.

$2.95 x 20 = $59.00 (20 dedicated IP renewals)
+$1.99 x 20 = $47.04 (20 domain transfers)
$103.80 SUB TOTAL
$(20.00) $20 off $80 CODE=GDH0103PLC
$83.80 TOTAL COST
$4.19 COST PER DOMAIN

Using that second method you overall cost per domain will be about $4.35 Thats one scenario I can think of right now........

Good Luck with it!!!
