How much is the actual renewal price of a .com domain (includes fees like ICANN) in Godaddy Discount Club?

Also, before joining it, how many domains do you need to have in order for it to make financial sense when compared to the old $8.67 coupon-based renewal?

If it's $8.47 renewals on the 12 month plan then it's .20 cheaper per .com to renew.
Price of membership with coupon $58.49
So 292.45 domains x .20 in savings pays for the $58.49 membership and anything above 292.45 domains is .20 cheaper.

I have slightly over 500 with godaddy so joining the club should save me about $43 a year over the $8.67 coupon codes if the prices stick at $8.47.

Years ago I used the same renewal code for years, lately has become a pain as codes kept expiring so had a feeling they might do something along these lines if they don't release new codes.

with that many domains, consider the time savings (and less aggravation) as added value. You wouldn't have to chase down codes or waste time trying different codes.

already joined and intend to renew all 500+ ahead of time that way if they do raise their prices I saved $43 for the year and can look at alternatives for next year if they do go goofy on prices in the future which they probably won't.

... lookin like 'Bye Daddy' now isn't?..........

No discount club needed...
... renew in bulk and things are much cheaper than what we are paying now

โ€ข Renew 10 - 24 names in one transaction and pay only $8.99 a name
โ€ข Renew 25 names and up in one transaction and pay just $7.99 a name

... those numbers are the same for both com AND net

:)

I tried that. I tried 25+ names and as I got down to the bottom of that bloated shopping cart their pricing INCREASED per domain renewal (only coms in the cart) until the last few which were $12.99 per renewal!

I had to do the DDC but it will be my final year for most domains here. Not worth the hassle anymore.

The value of a lost customer is tremendous, Go Daddy. You definitely give good meaning to "its GO time"! Like in "GO! away" !!!!! :D

Well after plugging in 5-6 codes that have worked for months - I finally gave up and bought the Domain Club - used the discount code from above - cjc35newc [thank you!!] - droped the discount club under $60.

So comparing $14.99 .com renewals (which was what I was getting charged in the default cart) vs $8.20ish renewals within the Domain Club - it paid for itself with just 9 renewals/new orders . . . .

And now I don't need to fuss with chasing down coupon codes. :sold:

After trying a few codes and actually giving them a call, it's time to just move everything out of Godaddy, the thrill is gone.

NO ONE can justify a $15 renewal fee, that's just glutinous!!!

Sigh* ... just took the plunge and got DDC. $8.29 on .com renewals. Having a portfolio of around 180 domains so hopefully this will keep the costs low.

Just curious and would like to know others opinions.HERE GOES.Is it possible that a major % of names are registered EARLY in a year--say Jan-April?

Lots of these promos showed up early summer thru fall.So i'm wondering if this is a prime time
for GoDad and others for renewals ? By having few codes available now it increases their average/take upwards.

If that is their plan we may see another promo code bonanza down the line.

Domainers reg 24/7 365 days a year.

Now maybe your average Joe and Jane might get a bug up their bottom at the beginning of a every year to start their own online business, like a new years resolution.

cjc35newc

It seems the DOMAIN RENEWAL codes have all but dried up now, especially for the $8.67 rate....

just renewed a .net for 10.17$ using gdbbx1705

I just renewed 5 .coms with that code @$9.99+fee.

Gonna hold off on the discount club for a bit, as my .com renewals are taken care of for the next few months. Maybe they will have some more codes by then.
