FYI its a .biz renewal renewal code I needed.

BACON3 does the same thing as gdbba547. Have used BACON3 for 6 months and it's still working and giving me $8.49 COM renewals (+0.18 icann fee) everytime I use it.

Godaddy will never give a renewal coupon code that would be better than $8.67 for COM renewals. They make most of their money from their renewals. First they give ultra cheap register and transfer COM codes so they pull customers away from their competitors and when renewal time comes Godaddy of course need to start making their profit.

In any case an $8.67 com domain renewal is still pretty cheap compared to most registrars.

If you want even cheaper .COM renewals you can join the Godaddy Discount Domain Club and then you'll have them for $8.37 instead of $8.67. Just so you know the break even point for a DDC membership is around 204 COM renewals (assuming you buy the yearly DDC membership for around $61 with a coupon code) so basically if you renew less than 204 COM domains per year then it's not worth it.

geek295 and game295 and cjc295d didn't work for me (the same bullcrap godaddy message i already posted here appears for all). only iap295d worked for me for one name (thanks for that).

if godaddy is going to exclude some countries from the good codes with this new policy, i might consider moving to other registrars.

The problem is that the codes which godaddy emails to you are with such a low discount that the final price is even higher than many other registrars without any discount code. For instance I have never received any $2.95 .com code by email, hell not even a $4.95 code. All i get emailed is 20% discount, 25% discount. If i would use those, i would pay over 10$ for a .com ! :/

I agree, the discount codes they email you with your renewal reminders aren't that great.

Best bet is to keep up with them on Facebook and Twitter where they tend to have more generous offers. Those are more likely to work with a wider customer base.

I think this Geo-based marketing policy is wrong and creates a lot of confusion. Why giving a .com to someone in US for $2.95 and exclude those in Germany or elsewhere from this offer? That doesn't make any sence.
Codes should be valid for all customers.
