Yes, I also have a VISA debit card; issued by Natwest. I've looked through my statements and realised that I've been charged £1.25 on every single transaction with GoDaddy.

I do banking with Lloyds, they charge one quid per overseas transaction (when billing currency differs from GBP), that's the norm, I think. Switch to Lloyds, that's 25 pence cheaper

I'm usually looking at USD but I tried changing the setting in the GD cart to GBP as well and its still added the charge (apparently conversion charge)?!

I remember seeing before that their prices quoted for other currencies is for comparison purposes.

So I can understand how people can think they might be charged in their own currency. They should be more forthcoming and tell international customers that there may be additional charges by the bank.

An extra £1.25 per transaction may end up cancelling out any savings you get on a domain..

Yes, totally agree. I'm sure there are many users who, like us; aren't aware of these charges.

And yes, in many cases it would appear the discounts + charges equate to the same or even more than if we'd paid normal paypal prices.

I'm going to look into it, maybe there are ways to avoid the charges - if any one has any suggestions or comes across ways around this then please post here.

Indeed, I have transfer 200 of mine out of GD a couple of days ago. GD 's cheapest renew price I can get for over 200 domains is 8.29+0.18 icann fee. In that case, I choose to move.

Where did you move that is cheaper than $8.29 with only 200 domains? Maybe cheaper to transfer out, but the renewal fees are likely going to be more. You will be transferring back to Godaddy next year then. Too much work to save a hundred dollars.

Not for me, the max I ever pay is like $8.29 before codes. DDC Member baby!! The next ones for me were all $7.99, if I wanted more, but I stopped the impulse buying and stepped away from the buy button!!

Just purchased a Website tonight package for a project...did a 12 month package and got 26% off for doing so, then I added this little code I got today FBWSTX20 for another 20% off on top of that. $107.88 package for $63.86.
