I'm pretty sure the cheapest way to reg a .net is to first add a different extension (say, .co or .biz) to your cart. The .net should appear next to it "on sale" for I believe $6.99 + ICANN fee. Click to add that to your cart and don't forget to remove the unwanted extension.
