Just found this a bit weird so I figured I'd share. Bought a new domain this morning, go to list it in auctions and it it says "domain already listed for sale". It was listed for 10k buy it now, with a $20 min offer.
But it was still showing in my account so I contact Godady and they tell me "Someone on their end listed it and forgot to remove it from the database of available names.
So I figured they would tell me "we're sorry, blah blah blah" and refund me, but they said, "ok, the domain has been removed from Auction and you may relist it after 24 hours."
Is this weird to anyone else?
I mean, they have every right to do what they want on their site, but i just feel like its sort of bs that they can have $10 domains listed for sale, and handpick different ones and list them in auction for 10k. I don't know why this bothers me.
In honesty, I would probably do the same thing lol but I don't know.
I guess i just expected more from them or something strange like that. At least I feel like I got a free appraisal from them lol What are your guy's thoughts?

You're overreacting and you do not understand the marketplace and how it works. GoDaddy did not list the domain, another GD customer/auctions member did (just like how you are trying to list it now). The previous owner simply forgot to remove the listing. Nothing strange about this at all and nothing to be bothered about tbh
