@GNAME.COM

Thank you for responding to many of my questions/comments.

Your site has lots of promise. I think if you continue to expand your "Help Center" area with tutorials in English and polish up some of the other areas in functionality, your English speaking customer base will grow.

People are rude, but you have to impress the customer for them to change their behaviors and use your service. Many of your competitors have many of these functions established and working easily. The sooner you can make things smoother for your customers through your user interface and tutorials, the more customers you'll get.

The opening of new tabs for most clicks is a big deal. That should be something worked on right away to eliminate.

I hope to make use of your services. Please keep improving! (y)
Hello tld4me,

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We truly appreciate your suggestions and are continuously working to improve our platform, including enhancing the "Help Center" and refining our user interface to create a smoother experience. We understand that making things easier for our users is key, and your input helps us prioritize what matters most.

We'll also take your point about the new tab behavior into consideration as we work on these updates. Your encouragement means a lot, and we hope to serve you better in the future.

Thanks again for your support!

The updates are very good! Especially now that site navigation doesn't open multiple tabs.

I have been experimenting with your company and services. Overall, I am pleased and will continue to be a customer of yours.

There are still things that can be improved. Since your company seems to be receptive to positive change, I'll just mention these other things:

Translations:
- There are still more English translation things that can be updated/polished up. It seems many of the things I'm noticing are singular vs plural issues. These things don't really matter, but correcting them will make your website more professional to users that view it in the English language.
Examples:
- In the main account section when logged in, Under the "Financial Management" section, there is "Invoice". This should be "Invoices".
- Under the "Buyer" section, there is "My Purchase". This should be "My Purchases".
- Under the "Seller" section, there is "Unlisted Domain". This should be "Unlisted Domains".
These are all minor, but it would help to have native English speakers (or a translation company) go through all of your menu options and update the word choices and things like this.

Whois/RDAP Privacy:
- For USA users, your Registrar RDAP response is displaying the registered user's City. If someone then goes and does a Whois lookup through GNAME, this different request instead displays the registered user's State.
This isn't a huge deal because the user's other details are still private. However, if someone puts this info together they now know the registered user's City and State. Not horrible. Not ideal. At a minimum, it would be nice to change the RDAP response to display the registered user's State instead of City. The best solution would be to not include either, but that may not be possible with all the different registrars you work with.

Sync issues:
- I have noticed some sync issues on the website with external/partner domains. I've noticed some sync issues with both Auctions and "Buy It Now" domains.
- With some auctions, when NOT logged into GNAME, it will show the current auction price as lower than it actually is. Once logged in, and being a user in an auction, the correct updated price will be displayed. This could be an issue. For instance, if there is an auction I am not a part of, and then I paid money to join the auction - if the auction then jumped up to a different much higher price because it wasn't synced properly, I would be angry.
This hasn't been my experience so far. I have only noticed the discrepancy for auctions I have already been a part of. Logged in vs not logged in.

Transferring domains away from GNAME:

- Is there a quick approval to transfer names out of GNAME instead of waiting the 5-7 days after starting a transfer away from GNAME?
- Under "Transfer Out List", there is a button under the "Actions" column that says "Transferred Out". What does that do?
- It would be nice, that when GNAME recieves the request from the other gaining registrar to transfer the domain, GNAME would then have an "Approval" section to transfer the domain(s) away quickly without having to wait the 5-7 days to complete the transfer out.

Credit Card Recharge Currency Conversion:
- Mentioned this before, but have an option to show the user's default currency for the recharge screen from your payment processor. (currenly it is in SGD)

Overall, your services are good. Hope you keep it up with improvements!

@GNAME.COM

Another thing that is not a problem, but is a feature request:

Dropcatch / Auction / Buy It Now, "Download Domain List":
- It would be nice if this list was a .csv file with all of the column data that the user has displayed. Currently, I think this only gives a txt file with the domain names that are displayed. It would be helpful to have all the other information in addition to the the domain names.

•••
@GNAME.COM

Other issues:

Dropcatch, Complimentary Backorder, "Action" Column:
- This is an odd thing. When going to this section, it will display the "Action" column with "GO" and "Backorder" options. Clicking "GO" shows the updated status of a domain. Clicking the "Action" column header, updates all of the visible domain statuses. I'm curious why this even is an option? I would think the desired result should be the site automatically updating all visible domains on this screen without needing to click "GO" on individual domains or the "Action" column header.

In User's Account:
- "Dropcatch" menu from left of screen, "Auction Closed" option, there is a column header that is not translated: ๅค‡ๆณจ should be translated to "Remark"

Edit to add: "Auction Closed" should be changed to "Closed Auctions"

Hello @tld4me ,

Again, thank you very much for your detailed suggestions. We truly appreciate the time you took to provide this feedback.

Weโ€™ve already made the following updates based on your input:

  • โ€œAuction Closedโ€ has been changed to โ€œClosed Auctionsโ€
  • โ€œๅค‡ๆณจโ€ is now correctly translated as โ€œRemarkโ€
  • Menu items such as โ€œInvoice,โ€ โ€œMy Purchase,โ€ and โ€œUnlisted Domainโ€ have been updated to โ€œInvoices,โ€ โ€œMy Purchases,โ€ and โ€œUnlisted Domainsโ€ respectively

Weโ€™ve also reviewed the RDAP privacy display issue and have made adjustments to show the State instead of the City for USA users in the RDAP response. While full suppression may not be possible across all registrars, weโ€™re continuously optimizing privacy wherever feasible.

If you come across any other areas for improvement, please donโ€™t hesitate to let us know. Your insights are extremely valuable in helping us provide a more professional and user-friendly experience.

Thanks again!

Best regards,
Gname Support Team

@GNAME.COM

Feature Request: Incorporate "Auctions" for "Pre-release" domains into "My Scheduled Reminders" or create a similar list/notification for pre-release domains entering into "Auctions"

Problem/Reason:
There are domains that are registered with GNAME (or your partners) that I want. They are going into dropcatch because they are now in pending delete phase. I have been alerted by my set "My Scheduled Reminders". (Great!)
However, it would have been nice if I was alerted prior to them entering pending delete phase and that they had entered "Auctions" as pre-release domains.

Benefit to GNAME: You already hold (some of) the registrations, so you are guaranteed maximum earnings potential from interested users being alerted and then joining auctions to pre-release names rather than waiting until they enter pending delete phase. GNAME retains the domain rather than dropping it. More user engagement in GNAME auctions.

Benefit to GNAME customers: Potential less competition for names as they aren't being dropped. Names retain their registration dates rather than being reset during a drop. Getting names potentially earlier rather than waiting extended time until they drop.

If there is a section that already does this (alerts for pre-release domains going to auction), please let me know!

The new list should alert users via email if a domain on their list enters auctions for the following "Deletion Types" and any newly added "pre" category:
gname-pre
drop-pre
nsl-pre
dy-pre
name-pre
sna-pre
jm-pre
jmgj-pre
sav-pre
nc-pre
wb-pre
xw-pre
en-pre
netcn-pre
aligj-pre
cr-pre
rr-pre
tx-pre

Thank you for receiving feedback and continuing to make positive updates to your website/services!

@GNAME.COM

I am not certain, but this may be an example of what I am calling a sync issue in your auctions.
Screenshot attached.

8r.PNG

I am NOT part of this auction.
Current auction price when NOT logged in shows: $78.69
Current prince when logged in shows: $78.69
However, the bid increment shows: $42.25

I don't see a list of your bid increments on your site. If this domain is treated like other domains in your auctions, I think the actual auction price at the time of this screenshot might actually be closer to $1,000.00. (maybe?)

If I paid money to join this auction thinking the current bid was $78.69 and it turned out after "breaking into" the auction it was close to $1,000.00..... I would be very upset.

If what I have said is false and this is not an error: Sorry for wasting time!
Do you have a section of your website that describes how the "bid increment" is calculated for auctions?
Right now if I search your auctions and filter by "Deletion Type" = "En-Pre" and only look for .com as the TLD, the highest auctions all have a current bid of $78.69 but the bid increments are different for different auctions.

EDIT: I am coming back to this post. What I said above isn't false. @GNAME.COM this is a very valid problem.

Work with over a dozen registries- never saw such a complicated and convoluted UI

Here is just one example - try transferring out - you may have to wait 7 days to get the auth code!!

Hello. tld4me,

Thank you for your thoughtful suggestion and detailed explanation โ€” we really appreciate your feedback!

Weโ€™re happy to let you know that this functionality already exists. As shown in the attached screenshot, users can add domains to the โ€œMy Scheduled Remindersโ€ section. Once a domain is added, our system will automatically notify you via email and on-site message if that domain enters backorder or pre-release auction status, including for deletion types like gname-pre, drop-pre, en-pre, and the others you listed.

This allows you to track both pending-delete and pre-release domains proactively, so you never miss a valuable opportunity.

To activate this, simply:
  1. Go to the Dropcatch > My Scheduled Reminders page.
  2. Enter the domain(s) you wish to track.
  3. Submit the form.

Once submitted, youโ€™ll be alerted promptly when these domains become available, whether by backorder or pre-release auction.

If you have any further ideas or need clarification, feel free to reach out. We're always improving based on user insight like yours!

Best regards,
GNAME Support Team

Hello tld4me,

Thank you for taking the time to share this detailed feedback โ€” we completely understand your concern. Due to current system limitations, the most accurate auction price is only fully revealed after joining the auction.

Regarding your point on bid increments, the bid increment logic currently varies based on internal pricing tiers and auction dynamics. We are in the process of updating our help center and auction interface to include clearer rules and examples explaining how bid increments are calculated.

We truly appreciate your patience and your contribution to helping us improve. Your feedback is being reviewed by our product team, and we aim to roll out updates soon that will make the experience clearer and more consistent for all users.

Thanks again for helping us make GNAME better!

Best regards,
GNAME Support Team
