This poll is to find out (crudely) where the interest in dotmobi domaining is & also to find out where the antimobi (or non-believers are too..

This is a totally open & non-biased poll, not a witch hunt; I'm genuinely interested to see if a pattern emerges so naysayers are particularly welcome (for once

The poll is public because there is no reason for it to be confidential... I hope you agree.

Note to Mods: I hope that you will agree that it is totally relevant to place this in the general discussion board on this occasion in order to get the votes of those who aren't dotmobi supporters..

Note to all: This is an open POLL This thread is not for debate on dotmobi as there are those here who oppose to discussion of such unspeakables in this discussion area.

I'm sure that most people will be happy to cast their vote either way; believe it or not I'm happy for the naysayers to win an outright victory; I have no ulterior motive - I just want to see just how popular / unpopular the extension is with your average NP member - hence the posting of the poll in "general discussion"

Thanks for moving the poll out of the correct arena & placing it in the wrong arena but hey I understand, Jeff pays the bills so you have to do as he says...
The reason it was in general discussion was to get an idea of how many naysayers there are re dotmobi; it would have helped NP define whether or not it's just a handful of the 'usual suspects' or whether it might identify that there are hundreds of mobi fans in the general discussion arena or indeed hundreds of mobi naysayers. All in all, it could have been quite a useful little poll, now in MOBI discussion it's not likely to get the attention of the naysayers... which dilutes the results somewhat.

But that saide, now that the poll has been moved, is there any chance that you might correct the error with your polls feature & re-open this poll please.

what is tacky is constantly listing mobi related things outside the mobi forum when theyve told you time and time again not to do that and moved countless threads.

you seem to want to argue for little or no reason.... i can anwer this silly poll for you.. most people on this/any domain forums do not like mobi... of course with the exception of the forum we started.

You know what I think is "gaudy & tacky"? Forums that charge you to post.

So I don't care if NamePros has giant hippos in the background images, advertising Harriet's Hippopotamus Farm... if that helps keep this forum FREE. As for the Rick Latona advertising campaign, I agree it's bold and in-your-face, but I think that's exactly what he wanted. It made a big impact and Mr Latona is probably a happy man. Happy advertisers keep NamePros going, and FREE.

One thing I've never seen NP Management do is bow down to anybody. As for Jeff being a "cretin"... I think he's been called much worse, and he has a thick skin so it won't bother him.

Look guys, I don't mean to offend anyone (well, maybe one exception but I don't think I'm alone in that respect)...

Please tell me what the problem is with putting a poll in the Public Discussion to allow all the mobi naysayers the opportunity to illustrate very clearly just how unpopular dotmobi is with you all?
Surely it's a pretty good way of demonstrating your views (I made it very clear that this was not a thread to be filled with debate; it was started for the purposes of the poll & nothing else.
lets not forget that one individual who posts an incredible number of times but without actually saying much is largely responsible for the fact that the dotmobi discussion had to be parted from general discussion & that same individual is such a PIA that he has been barred from the mobi section; given the quality of his 'contribution' (if I can call it that) I do have to ask why he's here at all... I don't like biased forums & I'm happy to debate passionately against those who don't agree with me; that's the only way that new ideas are born, disagree with me all day long I don't mind, block free speech & open debate & you have to ask what value there is to the forum because there's no point in just having a 'club' of self-serving Ostriches with their heads buried firmly in the sand.

As for being chilled out, I'm pretty chilled - it just bugs me (& others) that a few individuals are permitted to block open debate about one of the biggest sea-changes that the internet has yet seen; Our Mr Jeff seems to think that the internet is something set in stone (having been around for all of 20 years) and won't face change as the web goes mobile (irrespective of the fate of dotmobi).... I'm sure that there are many who would have been happy to vote on this poll were it not for maybe half a dozen bigots who insist on getting the last word in.
