Hmm... can you keep bush away from killing people.... (or at least trying)

He thinks he is action man or what... he was in Gleneagles in Scotland today for a SERIOUS PROFESIONAL meeting (NOT A holiday) and decided to take a motorbike ride, and runs over a Scottish police officer in the area and falls down himself getting MINOR scratches.....

Someone at his age, its abit of a imature act don't you think, specially hitting a Scottish police officer I was hoping that guy would have Sued him.

D4u.. this coming from someone who takes joy over something so innocuous?

give me a break. your ideals speak for themselves d4u. I take it your still sore over "our" side winning every election in:
1)America
2)UK
3)Australia
4)No confidence vote in france
5) no confidence vote in Germany

Ya, I make him look like a fool..but its your side losing. Enjoy second place ;)

I saw a news headline that he fell off of a bike but I didn't think that it was a motorbike or even that he ran over someone. He is really an idiot and I think that he should be sued for what he did no matter what social rank you are.

The presidential bike suffered some damage...

Are we sure it was a motorbike (motorcycle), and not just a regular bike (bicycle)?

hotrod..your basing this off of what exactly?

you think Bush intentionally steared into the cop? or did the cop meander into the Presidents Path?

Perhaps the cop should be arrested for assualt on a world leader?

**See how stupid that sounds hotrod? what your saying sounds equally stupid**

I dont like bush not one bit,, but cmon..... it was an accident..lol what are you gonna sue the guy for being a dumbass? and i really hate to say it, but maybe lee is right.. maybe the cop got in his way.. does anyone have any footage? is it on tape?

Im still doing my A levels (first year). I live in the UK so I WOULD go to Oxford or Cambride and not Harvard or Yale. Anyway, I plan on going to study Business Management at Warwick Uni (or there are a few other possible choices) for which I need 3 A's. I am far more intelligent that Bush junior, just going to an expensive Uni does not make you clever. I already speak 2 Languages fluently and own my own company.
Bush is a political puppet dressed up to look good.....

How do you consider yourself more intelligent?

Btw, if you get into Harvard or Yale, you need not worry about the expensiveness as you are set for life afterwords.

Is this really that big a deal? Accidents occur? President Bush is no different from anyone else when it comes to accidents occuring, perhaps the exception being he has millions of heated democrats (killing their own party) and America-hating liberals (Not all liberals, just the America Hating ones which is 90% of them)

I just answered my own question by watching the news.

It was a bicycle he was riding, not a motorcycle.

Gotta love those ideals. I admire intelligent ideologists, even give credit to all the people who have ideals that they firmly believe in, even the folks w/ different value systems than my own. I even have tolerance for the shortsighted and narrow minded, which brings us back to topic. Now where were we?
I consider I take it your still sore over "our" side winning every election in:

5) no confidence vote in Germany
Oops, there we go off topic again. Well, OK, if we must. You must have forgotten. I'll help you. (NP$ graciously accepted). You left the recent election results of 6) Iran, off your list. The new guy in Iran is another good, solid, staunch, religous right wing, social conservative, as well as, a loyal patriot who loves his country.

America-hating liberals (Not all liberals, just the America Hating ones which is 90% of them)
"America Hating" is your model, your matrix, your dialectic of choice, but not mine or the somewhere near 50% of the people in the country that I live in, who share similar values to my own. Only the most dogmatic and uninsightful people would ever label people in this group as people who , "hate their country". (I mean, how could the same people who are hugging trees really hate much of anything, let alone their country. hehe) However, destructive and self-destructive people of all persuasions along w/ psychopaths might generally fall into the category of hating their country. They probably have the mindset of hating everything.

Have fun inside of that loop!: "I am right- you are wrong-because I am right and, therefore, you don't see things the right way, which is the way I see them, why can't you see!- and, therefore by default, (I'll be nice and show everyone how reasonable and progressive I can be), only 90% of those that don't line up w/ my ideas, have defective perceptions and, as a result, hmm... ahh- I've gottit! Hate their... Country!" :hehe: "I am right, therefore, I am. Right, I am! And all that's left is what is left and what is left isn't right, because I am right. Right? " and vice versa, -or- something like that.

OK, so now I have to tell a bicycle story on myself...

About 6 years ago I was living with a family with kids. One day we were out riding bikes to the lake.

Now, I'm a fair bicyclist, having ridden alot.

We were riding along the sidewalk and I saw a rose bush coming up to my right and thought to myself it would be somewhat painful to fall into it.

While engaged in thought, I didn't notice one of the kids slowing in front of me and I clipped their rear wheel with my front.

You guessed it.. I went over the handlebars and into the rose bush. I bet I knocked every rose petal off that bush and got pretty scraped up in the process. Of course, the kids had a great laugh at my expense.

The moral is: if you don't pay attention to what you're doing, you too can be president for a day (or something like that). ;)

As Bob Dylan once said: Even the president of the United States must sometimes stand naked.

I can't stand those bags either. I can get along with everyone. I was just trying to lighten up this thread before it got too personal. :hehe:

Not to get off the subject of bike riding and inept presidents, but I lament for the days of the paper bag, standing straight, tall, and SQUARE.. whatever you put into it stood up the way it was supposed to!

To get back to the thread:

"This is not the first time Bush's mountain biking habit has led to injury. In May 2004, he suffered minor abrasions to his chin, upper lip, nose, right hand and both knees when he took a spill near the end of a ride at his ranch in Texas."

That's cool and appreciated. This kinda stuff (honestly!) doesn't really get my blood pressure up or make the back of my neck bristle, anymore. I don't usually post in threads that go into these type of things much- just got a wild hair, felt like letting one fly and went for it. Nothing personal to anyone- not even to the bicycle rider, which is what DG wants to get back to.
There is a tight zig-zag curve going south on the the strand, right before you get to Venice Beach. I took it too fast once, swerved around a stumbling roller blader, plowed into a micro-light Italian racing bike w/ my Mountain bike, and he and I did a mini Neo meets Mr Smith up in the air. I wasn't wearing a helmet, but I got lucky, I only landed on my head. The other guy was wearing a helmet so he did OK, but his rear rim got bent a little- it kind of looked like a taco shell.
