Hmm... can you keep bush away from killing people.... (or at least trying)

He thinks he is action man or what... he was in Gleneagles in Scotland today for a SERIOUS PROFESIONAL meeting (NOT A holiday) and decided to take a motorbike ride, and runs over a Scottish police officer in the area and falls down himself getting MINOR scratches.....

Someone at his age, its abit of a imature act don't you think, specially hitting a Scottish police officer I was hoping that guy would have Sued him.

The presidential bike suffered some damage...

Are we sure it was a motorbike (motorcycle), and not just a regular bike (bicycle)?
I heard on the news that it was a Mountain Bike and that Bush's own doctor helped treat the officer and Bush wanted him to follow up on him that tonight.

To keep things light... ;)

I've got a bike story as well. This one goes back just about 25 years now. I had somehow convinced my father to ride me to school (kindergarten actually) on his brand new 10 speed bike. He agreed, of course, and I remember him peddling away and me begging him go faster... faster... faster.... so he did. I sat on the "boy bar" with my legs off to one side. I remember looking down, and being quite amused with the spokes as they turned ever so quickly... so quick, that I couldn't even see them. I remember wondering what would happen if I stuck my foot into said spokes...... Of course, the last thing I remember was the both of us flying through the air.

When I woke up, I had serious road rash type injuries on most of my face and arms. My father, to this day, still has problems with the shoulder that made contact with the pavement. It was pretty bad. I didn't end up going to school that day... or for many days later.

Go easy on me folks... remember, I was 5!

Even ol' Rob went over the handlebars. Was young, downhill on my bike on a stoney surface showing off, hit something and voom... scraping along on my helmet. Should have seen the state of it after, probably wouldnt be here if it was my head.

My brother and I had a similar accident when I was about 11 or 12.. he riding the handlebars and I peddling us down a steep hill as fast as we could go... the front wheel came off when the fork broke, sending us flying... I got road rash so bad it had to be lanced later on and I still have a light scar from it to this day.. he got a broken collar bone. Helmet? We don't need no stinking helmets! ;)

 I remember the surreal experience of driving around England in my "right handed"?, (hmm.. steering wheel on the left), VW Bus. Blew across the channel on a Hovercraft from France to Dover. Luckily, there was some time for an an adjustment period before arriving in London. (But never did quite bridge the gap between the cafe au lait and croissants in France and the coffee and toast in England. Marmalade does help, however.) After a couple of days, I did get used to driving down the left hand side of the road, albeit w/ alot of head cocking. Never did quite master parallel parking while there, right hand turns were always an adventure but the driver did have the best seat for sightseeing. :snaphappy:

This brings so many memories of biking accidents from when I was young...I think one of the worst ones was the time I was riding on the handlebars while a cousin of mine was actually doing the riding and my front foot got stuck between the spokes of the front wheel and we both went flying and then the bike fell on us.
I spent sooo much time on bikes when I was young and have so many stories about it I`m still trying to remember if this was actually the worst one...

Ive had so many....

One time, I pumped up my tyres (I was 10) at the petrol station. Now, I'm guessing that I put WAY to much pressure into the tyres, because I was cycling down a hill (VERY steep hill) to my friends house. Thats when my front tyre EXPLODED. Believe me, when I say that I flew a long way of the handle bars, and happened to be in a lot of pain after.

Grrilla, 50% of the US Voting Population is not "Liberal". You seem to have mistaken the term I was using for the "Conservative" definition of Liberal, I am using the "Real" definition of Liberal IE: Both left & right people who believe it some outlandish policies such as (Right) Closing off all the borders or (Left) Closing all of our overseas basis.

Sorry if you mistook my version of Liberal as the "Anyone other then a Staunch Republican." The real version of Liberal encompasses only a select percentage all across the political spectrum.

Darn it!! Did I get it wrong again!? When will I ever learn?  B-)
Hey, BTW. Drew Carey had a cool definition for a Libertarian that I heard on TV last night. "A Republican that get's high". Now that the Liberal/Conservative//Republican/Democrat lines are not as clear or as meaningful as they once were, and considering how a recent poll showed that about 57% of the baby boomers see the need for a 3rd party, (as opposed to less than 20% of the GI generation), I think I'll check them out. Politically conservative, ie local government control and socially liberal, ie "Put on your high heeled sneakers...", is personally appealing. I don't like how the once genteel Republican party has been infiltrated and is now controled by the Jerry, Pat and Rush gang and, as LeeRyder has, (only occasionally), mentioned, the Democrats don't win anymore, or are in second or last place- or something like that... sounds like the Libertarians, (heck, you can call them Conservatarians- I don't care) might be where the middle of the two sides could meet. Wouldn't effect the extremists too much, as they could just continue their meaningless jawing away and hatred of one another. Than, these debates would loose their steam and DSL wouldn't have to put up w/ this "****ing sh~t anymore." Whatcha think??

Lee isn't it sad that these liberals try to call themselves more human than conservatists when from their mouths they said they would actually hurt the president of the United States if they could? How barbaric are they? They disrespect a president who fairly was voted in, and have no decency to show any respect whatsoever. I thought the democratic, from what I hear how they blabber and stuff, is supposed to be more sophisticated, but from what I hear they are more barbaric then ever. When this country becomes ruled by democrats and liberals, it will be the end of the world. Think how much we will be mocked then, a country full of gays and sick child molesters running around freely in the streets because they have to have their 'civil human rights' from the liberal point of view. We'll be mocked by everyone. Liberals can you please just shut the hell up?

dude.. they murder unborn babies but fight for the life of a butterfly.

they scream and yell when someone has to stand on a box, but are silent when someones head is chopped off.

they cry for equality, but want christians banned

they they they...

but they are us.
And I love them.

Besides, it would be boring just having the french to complain about.

Hmm...I can feel the embarassment that the vast majority of conservatives- people whom I consider to be decent and rational- must have, when someone like this starts talking and acting like he's speaking from their pulpit and presenting their views. Not to worry. No matter what the party or ideology this kind of flawed thinking and the crude manner in which has been presented, can easily be seen for what it is, and only someone that is like minded w/ the rent a cop in Pulp Fiction, would believe this kind of bull. Since nothing here can be taken seriously, or is rational or intelligent enough to be worthy of discussion, I won't waste my time w/ any further response, other than    You can't really be serious! Can you...?

PS If you actually are, you've offended enough people and have some serious issues to deal with that are beyond the scope of what can be dealt with here , and I would strongly suggest that you get some help and refrain from working out problems of this nature here at Name Pros.

Embarrasement? Hardly. Lack of eloquence perhaps.
What is truly embarrasing is that something like 9/11 can happen, London can happen, Madrid, Russian School house massacre... and on and on and on... can happen.. and yet, we have a very clueless liberal minority screaming bloody murder for no more than to gain attn and votes for their party.

all the while, people like bin laden and al zarkawi get nice, friendly, politically correct labels like "freedom fighters". Thats what is embarrasing.

And NAMBLA is protected by whom? Certainly not the conservatives, I assure you.

You may not like the GOP or the conservative view points and ideologies, but THESE are the principles that built and founded this nation and assured it to be the most powerful (militarily and economically) nation ever on this planet.
I recommend you read "Protestantism and the rise of the West".

Just because there are differences in our ideologies does not make people enemies. Banter and "unacceptance" do.
The left clearly and defiantly declare that our parties viewpoint and stance...as well as that of our founders and in our history are not legitimate.
The left insists by innuendo (ie; planting the seed) that the nation has been stolen from them and we are running unjust wars... and yet somehow.. find a way to say that it is good that saddam is gone.

Pick ONE... it doesnt go both ways. It is this hypocracy that the right see's in the left.
When you say "can be seen for what it is.." trust me, we see the lefts ideoloy exactly for what it is... whatever gets votes... damned the consequences.

See, Grrilla.. I respect and like you. I enjoy your person and views. I also realise that without you, your vote and your viewpoint and ideologies..America would'nt be the nation that it is... it would die and die quickly.

However, your "side" does not reciprocate that. It spews lies and deception... and declares that the Right is the enemy.
Wrong.
Bin Laden is our enemy. Saddam is our enemy. Michael Moore is our enemy.

Why? Becuase they absolutely refuse to allow Americans have their own ideologies and declare it evil.
Much like what the left does to the Right.

And to that, the left needs to awaken to the truth. For we are the only ones that will still fight and die to ensure that your "side" (the Left) can now and always have the right to express that opinion.
