The Geo domain selection process:A question for those who own geodomains: In your opinion, what are the best platforms for selling this type of domain? Do you market them or do you leave them to be sold without marketing?

Thank you for the valuable information you shared with me. Rest assured, I will read the articles you mentioned. Speaking of my geographic region, I'm from Algeria in Africa. The domain names isn't very well-known here, and there are few tourists, so English usage is relatively limited. Therefore, I invest in reselling American geodomains. The biggest problem I face is that when Americans see an Algerian number, they immediately assume I'm a scammerThe Geo domain selection process:
Like with most (if not all) niches someone is thinking about dicing into for the first time, I generally advise that you start off with something you are already immersed into (E.g. Current Career, Hobby, Local events, your local region, etc..). It's 10x easier to understand the demand and pitch something you already know a lot about versus something you've never heard about or researched before.
With the above in mind, if you're going to take the Geo route, start with your own city, county, municipality or state. research your Geo niche of choice on the local level and test a domain or two, before diving in head first into uncharted territories.
The reselling of a Geo domain:
As for the reselling part of it... Sure, listing in marketplaces can garnish some eyeballs (Mostly resellers and hobbyists with the occasional manual type in from an end user seeing if its in use already).
Think like a broker, where most don't rely on marketplace listings alone and go straight for the potential use case buyer with a structured and well thought out outbound campaign.
Note: Many (If not most) just play the list it on a marketplace, sit and wait game without any outbound. Granted, that mostly only works for large portfolio holders (Playing the % game) or super premium domain holders (High demand assets).

Regardless how you decide to approach it. I wish you luck in your domain investing adventure.

when looking at that sentence, I see a glass half full, rather than half empty. It means your local market hasn't been saturated with domain sales pitches yet and there is a lot of growth potential in that region, teaching others about domains and then sending them out to spread the gossip of domain names. The domain names isn't very well-known here, and there are few tourists, so English usage is relatively limited.![]()

Yes, it's a great idea, but implementing it will take a long time. You need to be a real, professional investor. For a beginner, it's essential to understand the field well and make a profit initially before starting this project. Have you considered starting a local domain group to get more involved to capitalize on domains in your region? This might be an interesting read if you

Yes, a professional investor offered this advice: geodomains are the gateway to professionalism and faster selling. They motivate beginners to see the fruits of their labor quickly. Choosing domain names is another matter that must be understood before buying any domain. Thanks, Brad, for your advice. It's a decent place to start to understand what makes a solid domain.
Just buying random GEO combos without understanding the domain market and/or geography isn't going to work.
Brad
