GEO Serp factors?

Hi, I was wondering what does effect our site SERP factors.
Example my site check serp
I discovered in Google.com in the first page and in Google.co.uk down a few ranks in 2nd page.Seems logical.

However in Yahoo.com its in page 5 but in Yahoo.co.uk its first page.
Why does this happens? Host? Domain extension?
The targeted keyword is check serp.

Backlinks

If you had a few .co.uk backlinks that might make a difference. Those pages (providing backlinks) would likely be ranking differently on both search engines.
