who owns gdrive.com? (it is owned by markmonitor.com)
gdrive.net? (it is owned by someone from Sydney)
In fact all other extensions were taken.

Are there any good names without TM problem?

Google lets something slip

Google is preparing to offer Web users "infinite storage" of computer files online, according to internal documents mistakenly released on the Internet. A blogger discovered the information in notes accompanying a slide presentation for analysts that Google posted on its Web site. Rumors have swirled around the so-called GDrive online storage service, which reportedly could give users a mirror of their own hard drives. Google would not confirm the plans, and removed the notes from its site. "They were not intended for publication," said a Google spokeswoman. (Reuters.com)

once google have the gwhatever trademarked, you are required to hand them back the domains... or get C&D matters :)

agree this would bring quite pleasure to some.

Not to be much off the topic, gspot is also a video codec identification utility. When people sell this product or when those male engineers develop this product everyday, what went to their mind each time they talk about it? (I would not be very comfortable talking about it everyday very seriously without much grin or climax)

Or another question: do you think the name gspot itself boosts the popularity of this video codec?

Not if you make a site out of it first. That's like someone trademarking Webmasters Trade Center and then you would have to give it to them, that's not how it works. Basically whoever has the idea first gets it. Companies can't just go along trademarking things and stealing domains, that would screw up everything.
