Gaining Traffic & converting clicks

Okay everyone...

Does anyone have a step by step process they use to build traffic and convert clicks that they can share? What SIMPLE formulas do you use?

I seem to be building traffic slowly to my sites, but it is slowly. I get the odd conversion but need to get some more consistent revenue flowing.

Advice, guidance, steps, best free/inexpensive tools, quickest methods.
