Not sure if something like this already exists, but this little script will tell you on which page your site shows up in Google based on whatever search phrase you specify. It only checks the first 50 pages though.

I got tired of going through Google results page by page to find how my site ranked on certain phrases, and instead of trying to find a tool, I just made one.

So without further ado, I bring you:

www.idevlabs.com/google.php

Have fun and let me know what you think. Rep appreciated :)

Pretty interesting and useful tool.

I'm guessing you are using google.com for the results... would be really neat if you could segment that down to country versions as well.

Either way - great start!

Thanks for the reviews guys. I'll look into adding country support. It's using Google.com at the moment.

I've seen such a tool before, but I can never find it!

+Rep from me :)

Including the actual SERP position would add more usefulness ;)
Nice work!

There are actually free services out there already that do this for you as well.

I tried it but I'm still waiting for the result :( OK. Update. It took 155 seconds to tell me that the search wasn't in the top 50 pages.

Here's the one I use... http://www.mikes-marketing-tools.com/ranking-reports/. This tool took only a second or two to give me it's results.

Great link, that tool is much better. Not sure why it took 155 seconds though, usually only takes a second or two for me.

Great tool, useful indeed, would be a good addition to other stat checking scripts.
A nice improvement would be other search engines.

Great work...

How about a tool that automatically shows what keywords take you to the site in Google, rather than having to guess keywords manually? (True, can always look at stats to see what people clicked on to bring them to your site, but I'm interested in what they DIDN'T click on as well.)

Still, great first site :tu:

Very good script! I really like it, and I'm sure I'll use it if you keep it up. :tu:

It's a little slow, though -- not sure what you can do about that.

Nice tool!

I could use ASP so I can multi-thread it, because multi-threading support is sketchy at best in PHP. I'm not really sure I'm going to continue because there was already a very good resource that stub was kind enough to link to, and I have no interest in competing. I was just bored and created it and thought I would share. Thanks for the kind words though guys :)
