[Full] General Web Directory with a Custom Skin

Please review my General Web Directory.
The site is using phpld with a custom template that I designed.
What do you guys think about the layout and colors?
Any suggestions on how to improve it???
I am thinking about revamping the looks of it but I am not sure if I shouldn't stick with it.

I don't think the green "latest addition" header looks right.
I'd add some photographs, at the moment nothing really grabs the eye.
