I am wondering whether its a poss' thing to have my own website free?
i meen domain name, hosting etc'? is that even poss'?
pls advice for a low budget project as well...

You would have to purchase a domain to use for a website..... there is no way around that. As for free hosting, there are a few around but the disadvantage is that your website shows their ads in various forms.
The one hosting company that I know of that is free and has no ads is: http://www.mycyberway.com/

For $24.95 per year, you can get a www.ChannelMe.tv site, such as my Abstracts.tv (see below).
You have your choice of having ads or not. As long as you don't plan on getting rich from advertising, this is about free as it gets. Some members her may not even consider it an actual website, but see what you think, and if it could fit what you want. I have around 2,500 videos loaded onto it, so this may give you an idea of what you can do. You don't have to worry about finding hosting.
I don't think you will find any lower budget than this, for the domain name, and hosting.

They give you the domain but I bet it's not in any extension that would be of any use! That's fine if you are prepared for zero traffic other than family members.

you may get username.magnify.net free hosting of videos but it's only a subdomain.

Try Freehostia, you can get free no-ads subdomain.freehostia.com , or you can use your own domain. I think still there are free .co.cc domains, but I would register my own .com
at name.com, or other registrar.

Except I wouldn't advice free domain names + free hosting...but it's your decision.

You can also create free subdomains from thousands afraid.org domains, however depend how seriously you need site.
I wouldn't go in serious bussines with random domain from afraid.org since I am not domains owner, but for hobby site, as example something like game clan board, etc... it can work pretty well.
Just make sure that you choose some domain which isn't parked here only few months.

For host : you can use 000webhost.com
For domain : you can use .tk or .co.cc
Btw, why don't you buy .info for example.
Its relatively cheap compared with a .com.

There are many free web/forum hosting sites out there , i am sure you can find a suitable one for you by google-ing.

The problems of free hosting is usually the lack of visitors and it usually have a sub-domain which is quite long (example : www.Host.Yourwebsitetitle.com) . You got to advertise your site quite a lot and get a free short domain for it.

Yes, its possible to get a free domains, they are .tk and .co.cc.
But it depends to the purpose, if you only wany some close friends as visitors, yes that .tk / .co.cc with 000webhost.com are enough.

Buy a domain name from GD or somewhere for $8 - Then choose a free hosting site - Try and buy .com its got more chance of someone going to it than .tk domain.

What sort of site do you hope to run?

Beside that it's still possible to get .info domain everywhere around for just 1.95/yr...
