Namecheap is offering a free "Comodo PositiveSSL" certificate with any product or service you buy from them! If you register, transfer a domain or buy another product like web hosting or WhoisGuard from them, you can get a free SSL certificate.

Plus, the SSL certificate DOES NOT have to be used on the domain you registered or transfered at Namecheap. You can use it on any domain, registered at any registrar! And you don't have to use the certificate right away if you don't want, just activate it by the end of 2008 and it is good for 1 year from the time its activated.

Be sure to add the "FREE PositiveSSL Certificate" to your cart when you check out next time at Namecheap!

Rep appreciated.

And yes, you can register an .info for $2.98 and still get the SSL certificate free!
So if you're needing a SSL Certificate for your site, head over to Namecheap!

Just got this in my email. Essentially $2.98 for a $50 SSL cert. Time to make my client's online store secure. Now they won't have an excuse!

They are not that expensive at NameCheap and that's good, because you don't want to be hit with a big renewal fee for the cert the second year. These "PositiveSSL" certificates are just $9.95 at Namecheap, and the SSL certificate you get for free will renew at that price ($9.95) the following year. :)

Posted this in May, so it's been going for a while.
