Free domain transfer ??

Hi guys,

Yesterday I registered a new name with the $4.95 deal at netfirms. Good price, but I dont like the control panel at all.

I now want to transfer it out!

I know godaddy wil charge $7.77 so does anyone know where I can transfer it free?

There is nowhere that will let you transfer it into for free. Network Solutions ran a promotion offering free transfers about a year ago, but no one has since. Transferring your domain to a new registrar adds an extra year to the registration and is the reason for the cost.

If you registered your name yesterday, you'll have to wait 59 more days before you can transfer to a different registrar. That should give you plenty of time to price search.

forget free transfer! maybe you can get a low price registrar, but it is impossible for free.
