tips FREE .app SSL forwarding for Landers

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
As a public service for everyone who purchased a .app name and need to forward to a lander:

Since there are no simple solutions currently available for domainers that do not have technical expertise I have decided to create this simple "App" to help you redirect your domains.

No charge or obligation. I pushed this out in a couple of days so it isn't pretty and it's not 100% done, but it works.

For .app domains to sell better - they first need be have a lander, right?

Let me know if you have any issues.

https://domainsales.app

FYI: Email address is only asked for on signup to verify people dont abuse the system or setup multiple accounts in the case they are blocked for abuse. No email solicitations will be sent, only a verification email.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Let me know if you need any landing services added that are supporting .app domains. (Sedo is not yet)

I will try to find some time in the next couple of days to update the site where it doesn't look like it was made in 1999. :xf.wink:

Does anyone here use Efty? If so can you confirm if the URL format is https:// yourdomainmarket.com/domain/newdomain.app/ ?

I have had a couple of request for the service to forward to Efty, but I personally have not used it.

Thanks!

For Epik: marketplace.epik.com/example.app
Can be used in both modes: http and httpS

Awesome. Thank you very much for the response!

Are all sites at Efty https or are some http?

Free trial versions do not have SSL, but paid subscriptions have the choice to enable/disable it. All marketplace pages have SSL as long as it is enabled.

Ok Efty and Epik should now both forward... I do not have an account at either to verify, but all appears well. Anyone let me know if they have any issues.

Currently a slight backlog as some active domainers are uploading their profiles. If your site is still Pending NS from last night it looks like it will be caught up soon.

Backlog is cleared and new sites are being forwarded in about 15 minutes right now...

Added a routine to keep an eye on your NS settings. Status will now show "Check NS settings" if your nameservers are changed after adding them to the site.

The response to the service has been amazing. Seems there is a definitely a need for this. I truly hope the landing companies can work something out soon on their end - as I can not support the unlimited demand that may keep coming my way. At some point I will need to cut this service off to new sites to keep it's cost from going beyond what I am willing to bear.

Sedo verification is now available through DomainSales.app

If you are already setup and would like to add the verification codes for your domain - you only need to edit 1 domain and enter your sedo verification code - and all existing domains will be updated.

Right at 1000 sites forwarded!

Good news guys... This service is no longer needed. Undeveloped is now supporting SSL!

Hold on, someone might want to park their .app other places! ;)

No worries... :xf.grin: I am leaving the site live for the time being - and sites that are currently forwarded will continue to be (even if I disable the site in the future).

Where is this option at? I thought to have ssl at efty, you needed to go through the marketplace.
Am thinking of switching to undeveloped. Do I need a marketplace to have ssl certificate lander, or is each lander secure by simply using their nameservers?

Hello all,

I am reviving this old thread here as I still have about 1000 domains hosted on my servers utilizing this redirect service. I have not allowed new registrations to this site since early 2019 since I was under the assumption most marketplaces are now offering SSL landers.

I did this as a service to the community - but it does become a hassle when I am migrating servers or performing other maintenance.

I plan to shut this down, but I do not want anyone to have downtime on their domain landers.

@Doron Vermaat - Efty is offering SSL landers, correct? (about 850 of these live sites are pointing to you)

I am going to email the users of the system, but wanted to post here as a public service as well.

This service will continue to operate for the time being but please migrate your nameservers to your preferred markets.

I made exactly $0 from this, and never tried too, but I have to start valuing my time and resources at some point. :xf.grin:

Thank you for providing this service at the time no one else was doing this!

@Doron Vermaat @lionel_efty @Michael Cyger

Can you confirm Efty's landing pages support SSL by default? I have someone asking me with over 600 names on my nameservers that use your service and I do not have an answer for them.

Can I advise them they can point their .app domains to your NameServers with no issue?

Anyone else that knows please feel free to answer this in the case I don't get an answer from Efty.

Thanks!

It appears the answer to the Efty question is no, or the user needs to change a setting in Efty or possibly purchase something additional. I have advised them to contact you guys and if they can't receive an answer to move elsewhere.

Does anyone know if Efty staff still visits NamePros? I am trying to help them retain a customer.
