Ll .tv is very nice, hey if you had $$$$ for this more power to you I hope you have some strong ideas for development on it though that can eventually start to payback the "premium reg fee"
Its very nice but so costly, goodluck!

Pretty HUGE interest for this domain! Wish you have good returns!

1) 1.8 Million .FR Domains - http://www.afnic.fr/actu/stats/evolution
2) Gaining 300,000 registrations every year, average .fr resale price is 650 Euro, credit.fr sold for EUR 600,000 - http://www.afnic.fr/actu/nouvelles/267/afnic-publishes-2010-french-domain-name-industry-report

3) This one works the best for .fr: "For 78% of people interviewed, the .fr top level domain essentially conveys a sense of belonging to the French territory." - http://www.afnic.fr/actu/nouvelles/...clear-preference-in-favour-of-fr-domain-names

Would say 4-5k.

I would add a '0' at the end :imho: :gn:.

There are 44Million Internet users (16 Million have broadband) in France, adds value to this domain on the assumption that it will be branded for France.

Solid LL.tv very nice, I am thinking you are the end user. The other thing that I take from this thread is that because .fr is abbreviation for the french tld, that many believe that increases value, if so then French .tv that are actually a french word have gone up from a value standpoint. Now I am not saying that I thought that but its how I interpret the data from the thread.

Best of luck with the perfect end user you could see xx,xxx but you are going to have to do some work.

I get the impression that the French strongly associated themselves with "fr", then again I could be wrong about that. It is nothing like the United States and "US" of course where people actually call the place the "US" but I still thought there was a strong degree of association.

I guess the question is, Is there a history of endusers actually buying these geo abbreviation names at a premium or are domainers reading more into these names than is really there?

If you type in "fr" for example into google the wikipedia entry for france comes up first and second is the entry for .fr so it does seem this is a term that is pretty strongly related to domain names (which might be skewing judgements) whilst it might not be the popular abbreviation for France that some think.

I think when comparing something like this to a true geo, like tokyo.tv for example which is is the exact term as opposed to an abbreviation selling for 10k I'd question the value in 8k for this. Personally I think it was an overpayment.

Realistically, probably mid to high $xxx from a motivated end-user.
