.mobi Foxnews.mobi advertised on TV

Im, sitting here watching foxnews in the background and I hear, "for news on you cellphone got to foxnews.mobi" they even spelled it out foxnews dot m-o-b-i and repeated it.

I haven't been around these forums for a while, but in the past 2 years this is the biggest mainstream advertisement I've seen for dot mobi.

Is this old news? if so sorry.. still big though.

Even the Concept of the Mobile Web is New for Most, let alone it's own extension.

I don't watch much of the news myself, so it's nice hearing it being (described) spelled out across the airways, especially from someone that doesn't often post in this particular forum.

Hardly. The majority of "sheeple" are indoctrinated with left leaning viewpoints starting in K-12 public "education" and then even more pointedly in the universities. .... "Business baaaaad, government programs goooood" .....

"Public" television and major networks continue that tilt left. And then Hollywood and the entertainment industry numb the minds and senses of those who don't or can't think on their own.

The right's and libertarians' counter to that has been the via talk radio and relatively recently through Fox News. And of course the internet. If you watch just about any talk show or political show on any of the networks and most of cable, they are so obviously left-biased it is ridiculous. Conservatives and libertarians are outnumbered by liberals by 2-1, 3-1, even 4-1 on these shows. It is only on Fox where they mix it up 1-1, 2-2 plus a moderator.

As a kid you pet the dolphins, in college you save the whales, and when you get out in the real world and finally start to work ... and look at how much of your paycheck gets taken out to pay for mandated and inefficient public programs, that's when the light bulb starts to go off for many. But not for many of the real "sheeple".

Conservative to me means - Work hard, think, take the risks, reap the rewards, be fair and charitable. Resist knee-jerk, feel-good, throw-money-at-it solutions. Study the situation, weigh alternatives and their pros and cons, do something, evaluate the outcome, and adjust the approach as needed. Respect, praise, and reward dedication and work. Do not reward incompetence or bad behavior. Businesses are more efficient than governments and their bureaucracies.

Rupert Murdoch is no conservative, he is neo conservative and there is a big difference. Fox serves the neo conservative agenda, bigger governement, more government control, more government spending, and an interventionist foreign policy. Libertarians prefer limited government, states rights, non interventionism and personal freedom. :kickass:

The weather person did the weather then offered that people could check the weather on their phone when they were out by going to foxnews.mobi -- that's "foxnews dot m, o, b, i"... then said something like put in your zipcode and you'll get the latest local weather. The anchor then said something like "that's great... you can get a mobile report on your phone..." It'll be interesting to see how long this .mobi product placement continues.

but if you are of the 1% elderly rich, you are not for progressive tax or luxary tax..

you're only for that if your in the majority poor elderly and want subsidies to not be trapped in a nursing home till the end of this life..

maybe not, when most of us reach this stage, there will no longer be such a corrupt two handed system.. If I was President, I'd fight against the 2 party system that thinks you can divide all the moral issues onto two sides for a vote split-handed (for which dishonest campaign promises are made to appeal to that "side" 's power and voting base - let's go to the video replay of last campaigns "universal health care" "oil independence" ya ya heard that before you got elected)

I believe imagination might offer solutions rather than just criticisms sooner before the end of our lives.. so that in a no party system, a candidate runs on his true character for the total, wholesome belief package..

Why don't we all just erase the boundaries, as the old states in the United States did, for one place mindset to freely help one another as one.. as one world.. a united nations..

Lets all email Foxnews & tell them what a great idea this .mobi thing is....So cool to be able check news & weather on the go....? ...Encourage them to do more .mobi promotion.


The putting it up on YouTube (if it can be done) is a fantastic idea....Maybe we should suggest that to Foxnews...?...It'd help them promote their .mobi site - and, of course, be great for us all.
