well in the advertising forum, there was a topic about getting paid to read emails and it showed up as a new post for me. therefore, i posted. then all these ppl started sayin how old topic bumpers shud be banned and stuff, but it wasnt my fault. it said that there was a new post and there was a new post! i didnt look to see if there really was a new post then, but there isnt one there now. this might be a bug because it showed up as a new topic for me. sry for the inconvenience.

it could be that someone before you replied to an older post, hence it showed up as a new post to you - or an active thread. If a person replies to a thread while you're not online, all new threads will show up in bold formatting.

If the thread was bold, it's not a bug nor is it your fault. Someone who posted before you must have brought up the old thread. Check the dates above your forum name to see when the replies were made.

yeah i did check it, and the post right above me was 2003!

it WAS bold, but the post above me is 2003, so the only thing i can think of was either a bug or a mod deleted the post...

Crap, sorry I meant to post a new topic but accidently posted in here when viewing it. Bah. Sorry about that.

Well nasaboy, I am here to vindicate you. There actually was a post made in that thread by a new member a few minutes before yours that was subsequently deleted by a moderator (because it was just a list of advertising links for Paid2ReadEmail sites).

No harm, no foul. Truthfully, I get more annoyed by the posts of people parroting "old thread, old thread!" when its already been said once or twice. :)
