Hey...
argh..IE for PC is killing me here lately ;)
I have this form that I basically built from a word doc, I know I know..
Looks fine on the mac in several browsers..get it on a PC/IE, and getting all sorts of weird characters displaying..never seen them before..any ideas anyone?

(click on the full application link) you'll see what I mean, almost like little boxes or something..cannot find them anywhere in the code..I mean I know it's messy cuz it's HTML from a word doc..but come on.

thanks in advance

Well, in the source code, the little box things are actually in it. Now... writing it in microsoft word is a REALLY bad idea. Microsoft word is a word processor, it will try to turn anything into legible stuff. When you type html code, it could translate some of it into certain symbols or other language words.

What I suggest you do is redo this code in notepad or some other HTML Editor...

I know I know..I'm actually helping a friend's co. with this (cleaning up after someone actually), and the form was given to me as a word doc. So rather than trying to set a whole new one..I thought "what the hell, word can't generate that bad of HTML could it?".

I'm just looking for a way to strip those little boxes out and a reason why they only display in IE for PC's..not trying to reformat the whole form.

They are just a character. You can open the source file and do a search and replace. I just tried it on a local copy and that works fine.
