Foreign word domains...

Has anyone had luck with foreign word domains? Russian Latin German, etc?

Do you mean non english as foreign language ? I have some "foreign" domain so, and get some revenues from them at sedo.

I do very well with German and Spanish domains.

German domains could be very good, but I do not think that Russian domains have any value

I buy and sell .pl domains and .com with polish words, but that market is very hard and unpredictable

First, for many of us, english domains are "foreign" names. So you mean non-english names, fine.

Spanish and german ones are the most valuous. In 2004, 7 of the 10 biggest domain sales where for spanish names. That says a lot.

Yep, that is true. But Germany has a very high rate of internet users... at least compared to Spain.

The advantage of spanish names is that spanish is widely spoken over the world compared to german.

PS: Also english names with german extension .de seem to work quite well (ie: anti-virus.de was sold for 10K euros)
