Are there any perks to not setting a reserve on Flippa? Does it get you any more exposure? I know there's always the risk of selling at a rock bottom price, but I was just curious what peoples experience with no reserves and Flippa has been like.

You can't not set a reserve on Flippa. You have to set a reserve of at least $1. The reason people set low $1 reserves is to increase the chances of more bids. When an auction has lots of bids, it has a better chance of being discovered (more exposure).

Caution: It doesn't always work and your domain will most likely sell for $1.

Not putting a reserve on your auction gets more people interesting in participating because they KNOW the auction WILL sell.

It potentially creates a bidding war which is what makes an auction exciting.

But it's risky if you value the domain name and it doesn't sell for what you thought it would.

You can also just not set a reserve but make your opening bid high enough. This way you are sure your first bid will make you a profit.
