First name .extension

Hello,

I was wondering what everybody thought about the prices of first name .extension. I am looking for my first name .extension and am finding a really hard time finding any extensions that are selling for my first name, not even on sedo. I'm afraid that if I wait too long, then it will be even harder to obtain a domain name with my first name. The only one I could find was a .info for $300. Any thoughts or suggestions? It seems like a lot of first name .extensions are very hard to come by these days, seeing as how everybody takes them.

If you have a common first name that is taken in most extensions, I feel $300 is a fair price for the .info.

Offer $150 and see if you can meet in the middle.

Common first names in any extension usually dont come cheap, so if your going to make a deal, strike while the iron is hot IMO.

Personally, I like the .info with names. It makes a nice email address.

I had to pay $1000 for my first name in the .us extension (about 3-4 years ago). so I feel your pain. I'm not even a US citizen

interesting thread, I happen to own the .COM for my lastname (it's quite uncommon, even here in Colombia, so it was available :bingo: ), but for my first name (a 4 letter name) the .COM is owned by tucows (and it's taken in almost all extensions), and for the first name/middle name version (what my friends, family, colleagues and employer use to call me...) someone is selling the .COM for $2495 :p (but it's available in most extensions...)

Yeah, you are right. I was lucky. My name is John and i got johnnys.biz at reg fee when someone on namepros posted that it was available (thankyou). So you may have to play around with your name a little to find something available.
