findjob.be, ouvrage.be, laplace.be - Please appraise -

What do you think is it any good?

I took the advice from your replies, to register some names in french language since this is the language spoken in Belgium, and registered:
ouvrage.be and laplace.be which mean employment.
the term ouvrage in yahoo.fr gets 13,900,000 results and la+place gets 217,000,000 results

So what do you think about these two domains now?

It's an excellent name indeed. I just wished everyone took advantage of the free promo to register quality names like this.
Reprobate is right, your best bet is to target the Belgian aftermarket.
I would hold on to the name and wait. I guess someone from Belgium will want a name like this. I would appraise in the $$$ range at least. Nice catch.

The thing I would like to know is why is everyone registering english word .be's ? Most of the people in Belgium speak French or Flemish (Dutch). There is some English spoken there, but not nearly as much.

You can use the French Overture tool to find commonly spoken french terms.

I don't think findjob.be will be worth that much. But I could be wrong.

Problem with most non-english speaking countries TLDs is that any english domain name is pretty useless IMHO. In Belgium french and dutch are the main languages and as such I'm afraid this domain is next to worthless. Sorry but take some comfort knowing that you're not alone in assuming english works everywhere when in fact it does not...

I might be wrong of course ;)

1) the term "ouvrage" is used for a "worked" thing... but not really for a job.
2) "J'ai la place!" means "I have the job!", but "la place" means also literaly the place or by extension, a kind of square in the center of a city (for example, the Grand-Place in Brussels).

I think findjob.be has more potential than ouvrage.be and laplace.be
