Ships in the Mist

What's wrong with using Sedo or Afternic for a high dollar transaction? ....
The Problem is that they rarely go out and hunt specific buyers in a specific niche for a specific domain that isn't tailored to their current hot list of traffic buyers. Not EVERY domain is a Traffic Domain or can be valued in terms of its traffic or PPC revenue. PLIARS, for instance, isn't a highly searched or visited keyword for PPC but to a Manufacturer of Pliars or to a Tool Company, its value may be way beyond that of the PPC or Traffic Revenue.
These large Traffic Brokers (I don't like to use the term Domain Brokers) like Sedo, Moniker, etc. rely heavily upon their reputations to bring potential buyers to them and are far too burried under literally millions of domains to go out and promote a single branding opportunity.
This is why this buyer needs a Broker. To put together one seller with one buyer in a specific niche that may not be solely and completely traffic driven.
Branding or Branded words are nothing (or were nothing) before a company decided to get behind it financially. "Google" for instance, meant absolutely nothing until it was branded. "AskDrZ" was nothing until Dodge dumped a bunch of cash behind it. Perhaps the poster has a related but not yet branded name specific to his industry that a company is just dieing to buy and promote, but would seem worthless to a traffic buyer.
I think there NEEDS to be more Brokers like this, IMHO. We'd start seeing some better sales I think. At least more movement. Buyers and Sellers are many times Ships in the Mist... passing by silently, unoticed, because they are both waiting for someone else to call out.
