With this tool you can Find Other Domains Owned by a person. The tool will search for domains owned by the same user or company who own the domain that you enter. Here's an example, finding out some other domains owned by Microsoft:

You may also be interested in the Domain List Cleaner or the Domain Name Extractor. :tu:

The Domain Name Extractor can extract all the domain names from a remote website and put them in a line separated list for you to do what you want with. For example, if you wanted a nice line separated list of all the domain names on http://thebigwhois.com/thelistjan.html, you could let the Domain Name Extractor do the work for you:

http://dnextractor.com/tools/DNeXtractor.pl?url=http://thebigwhois.com/thelistjan.html

Visit the Domain Name Extractor Website for other tools:

That's a cool script. It works, it doesn't pull every domain the person owns though. I put in a domain I owned and it only pulled up about 15 domains (I own own a lot more than that). It might only work with certain registrars.

Yea it usually only gets a portion of the domains owned by the owner of the domain entered because some domains are newly registered and not indexed yet or they have slightly different whois info and all sorts of other reasons ... But it's still interesting to check and see what some, other domain names a person might own are. Thanks everyone for trying it out. :)

aaah this tool........ it is using alexa's new feature.....and getting the data from Alexa using alexa's API, I'm sure :)

say it aint so!

by the way, just for the record, this tool from Alexa is flawed... it unfortunately gives inaccurate results (that is, it is not 100% accurate for it sometimes shows domains as being owned by someone who doesnt own them)

Interesting idea, but tthis script is seriously flawed. No matter which of my domains I put in, it comes up with only ONE other domain or none at all. I own 1,400+ domains, with the same whois info.

Yea I don't think the tool is a "real time" tool, so if a domain has changed owners or something similar then it's not going to be updated until the next time alexa goes out and indexes the info which is one of the reasons why it may show domains that are not currently owned by the person. And it only does certain extensions. It works somewhat like a search engine where the data is indexed so of course if you search for something that was just put on the web it's not going to be available until the search engines crawl and index it.

So you can see why you might call it "flawed." It's just one of them "if it works, it works, if it doesn't, it doesn't tools"

yes, alexa seems to have goofed up on this big time. I dont think they use whois data alone... and I have no clue what else they use .... reverse server IP lookup ??... heavy cross-linking?? no idea at all.....

on a side note... there was recently a thread on webmasterworld over this tool, and someone posted that one of the domains that he owned which was registered privately somehow showed up.......how do they have access to the corresponding registrant's personal data ?

I don't know how they would have access to the private data. I would guess that the domain was registered publicly, and then changed to private, and the data was gathered before it changed.
