That's a pretty good one. 3character.com lists LLL.com domains at $2250. I'd say this one is probably a little more - probably between $2250 and mid $x,xxx.

I'd have paid mid X,XXX for it any day. I reckon you can get $1X,XXX - $2X,XXX for it. I really like it

hah, but then I'd also have to change the pw to online cc access which will draw even more suspicion.

Wife at first thought it was kind of silly to spend hundreds or thousands on 6 or so letters and a dot, but I just kindly remind her of the sales section of dnjournal.com. :)

OK, WTF???? Check this email out I just received:
--------
Hello Mr. Darren Monroe,
GoDaddy.com has informed us that YEZ.com has been taken from an
expiration date. We are a company in Norfolk, Virginia, United
States (USA). Please understand that we are a trademarket
company and we are planning to make a website for our company.
We ask you nicely to cancel the domain and inform us when you
have canceled it. We are sorry for this. Our company lawyer has
told us that we can have the domain due to trademarked issues.
We believe that we should not let you off with nothing, we would
like to offer $15 for your time. If you would like to arrange a
court date with us, please reply back and our lawyer will fax
you the papers. We ask that you do not share this information
and e-mail with anyone but your lawyer for future problems.
Thank you.

Sincerely,
Martic lawyers and Yezum Company

Of course, I checked the tm database and before I purchased I made sure there were no tm's for yez and further searching reveals nothing for Yezum.

How can I politely tell him to piss off?

Yahoo search:
We did not find results for ""Yezum Company"".

How bout "piss off". Then ask him to fax you the papers. there are none.

Poorly written email designed to scare you into giving away a $20,000 domain.

Looks like a scam. I'd just forget about it.

What attorney signs an email "___________ Lawyers"?

I think a lot of ppl get similar automated but slightly modified messages after catching LLL.com's on the drop. Scam as far as I can tell.

Now this is pretty hilarious:

Hello,
We have talked with our lawyer and have decided that we will not go
with the trouble of taking yez.com. Thank you for your time, we have
decided to buy another open domain. Sorry for your inconvenience.
Thank you.

:gl:

I wouldn't worry too much about that "attorney correspondence", IMHO. If you receive anything further and if it seems more serious (read, legit), please contact a qualified and reputable โ„ข attorney!
Super cool catch :tu: (though "Z" has never been one of my fav's letters, generally speaking)! How much did you pay for it, in the end 'Dog? :talk:
All the best!

Something looks fishy about the email. Ask for details and take care of your posessions!
