Got an urgent-looking fax this morning...very official looking and vague...
from Domain Registry Support 1-800-591-7398 ext 2621 (sheesh)
It was about a domain I let expire. I assume they got all my info and fax from the whois info. It's a joke, but they may get some people with it.
"Urgent Notice of Domain Extension"
"Please be advised that the above noted domain name has now become available for registration. Consequently the possibility of conflicting domain name registrations may occur."
"You are required to advise the notification processor of your intent to license this domain name on or before the expiration of this notice."
Had a big section about trademarks, UDRP and bad faith.
"Upon expiry this domain may be registered by any third party without further notice. Accordingly promptly advise us of your intent to (a) secure this domain name or (b) release your first right to use preference."
Don't fall for this....they just want to renew the domain for you for a high price. :yell:
