I've been reading about this guy all day, very interesting dude.

He was IANA which was the precursor to ICANN. He was also one of the inventors of the internet. Died under what I think are very mysterious circumstances at a very mysterious time. Read up more if interested, pretty easy to find the information, Google News Historical search and Wikipedia.

So anyway, I decided to see if his name was available, maybe make a site about him. Sure enough, the man who was responsible for the administration of .com's, .net's, .org's and all IP addresses, doesn't even have his name .com registered!!


So is it worth anything? lol

Yes he sounds very interesting, i had not heard of him before. I doubt the full story has been revealed in the Wiki article, i think his domain name has purpose for historical reasons.

I think it is morally wrong to profit from the domain (his name) myself. Bad karma i would think. But a memorial site with historical reference to his achievments would certainly be justified.
