Do the background images load correctly, match up, making the border and colors look proper?

Does the logo and simple page create a fun, fresh and friendly look to you?

This is just the very beginning, and RJ is going to be coding up some fancy stuff, but I wanted to post this up and see if you guys like it so far?

The logo: characters and food are all original, created by hand, by NP'er Abu Gabby.

Everything is looking good. :tu:
All the borders appear to match with the header, on my resolution.

I really like the logo, very creative.
I'm not all that keen on the background colour personally, it just seems abit too bold for me.

I think the border/margin on the bottom should be removed, to take the gap away, or round the footer off with the shadow?

The overall design gives a good "feel" of a Fast Food site.

I think the text and tables should be all aligned the same...
Take a look at tmy image, to see what i mean.
(Less space has being taken up too)

I would try to make the border around the main content part smaller or something. It makes that part stand out like it's supposed to but it just seems to strong. You could try making it bigger, too, as it would make the fade in it longer.

The logo is good and everything lines up.

Color composition and logo work well, they are just as plastic as the fast food chains. Very nice visual interpretation! The burger and hot dog overlapping the frame gives it the needed 3D effect.
However, the frame of that surrounds the white space for content, needs to be completed on the bottom, you're wide open.

Not much more to say about it at this time, as soon as the nav. buttons are active and there's some content, it would be great if you'd re-list it for review.

Jesse, the cartoons (characters & food) were all created by NP member Abu Gabby, drawn by hand. There's more where those came from, including tons of food and another character!

By the way, that's not the actual page/code. It's just a couple tables I threw up to work on matching the background, and get a feel for the basic site.

RJ is going to code the actual site, and we'll take care of all these issues!

db - i remember following the logo contest for that design - it's looking awesome and everything matches up fine for me in firefox.

I agree with whoever said that the background color is a bit too bold. when i have a color/shade I really want to use but don't 100% like the look, i add some noise to the background image. just to dull it down a bit, but still give its definitely a cool effect.

Just my opinion for something to play around with!
