Sure this is a one word, common domain name that is very rare, but I just do not see the business potential in it that justifies the $200k price tag.

To be honest I think it could of gone for a bit more. It's a really good name and those farms are worth a lot. It could easily by the centre for selling/buying farms which cost more than the domain :)

There is a lot of business potential with that domain... just most people are not familiar with the farming business.

A solid price for a great name -- it's nice to see another 6 figure sale heating up the market.

That is a fair price for that domain. Nice domain, nice sale.

I did not see it on afternic

When did it sell.....???

The sale was reported on the "Recent Sales" section about 1.30pm CST today. For some reason, they have pulled that off the list, also reported to be sold in the same section was cyanide for $6,000 and another sale for $30,000 but I forgot the name of that domain. :-/

If it is used to sell Tractors - combine harvesters etc then they would soon get their money back - these things aint very cheap !! :)

Would also make a great online magazine/store for farmers - o ar o ar

It has an overture score of 841 with extension which is nice

I agree the domain probably could have gotten more for this domain, but 200k isn't a bad sale either. If it was me and I had the domain and someone offered me 200k for it, I would be strongly inclined to accept it.

nice generic LLLL

any speculation on what the other TLD versions would be worth?

farm.net, farm.org, farm.biz, farm.info, farm.us, farm.pro, etc

good thinking. I would think at least 10% of the $200K for the .net version.
