Facebook SEO?

I just recently started FB pages and wondering if anyone has been successful with theirs. What's your initial setup and were there any small and big changes done along the way for optimization? How did it help?

Also, I've read about recycling previous posts and this is also used in blogging sites. How does this work/help?

I don't think that facebook can actually you with the SEO, it is undoubtedly a great platform to market and promote anything online but it doesn't affect your search engine rankings.

^I realize Facebook has its own search engine and that's why I thought there's got to be some way they organize their database or there's some algorithm they use to benefit members and business owners/promoters. I do remember making a Google search and I think it was on first or second page that a Facebook content was included. Can't quite remember.

If you're looking to optimize ON Facebook, look for information on "EdgeRank" (their ranking algo) ... and other factors like "Time Decay" and "Affinity Scores".
Google may display a public FB page in search results for the same reasons as they might any other crawlable page - relevancy, backlinks, user behavior ...
