i try register a .com domain, before checkout, i see the price is $29.95

I sent them email a few months ago and got a reply with a tiered pricing quite quickly, within a day-two i think.

Nothing, i just sent email and asked. Told that i want to use them but not with those high prices.

I agree with @golan... Sometimes just reaching out and asking can do the trick. You don't necessarily need to provide them with your portfolio. Just explain that you're a "Domainer" and can find competitive pricing everywhere. $29.95 is way too high and if they move you to tiered pricing you'd like to do some business with them. It might not get you to Tier 1 - but could at least get you to a higher level tier where pricing is below $10.
